I risked it despite some negative reviews and I can confirm this thing is garbage. It either reads wild settings, or most of the time even under mild vacuum it just reads zero. Not worth the money, and definitely not worth the wasted time in even trying it. Spend the money on a good one like I should have and will end up doing now anyways.

The pump took about 10 minutes to get my recovery tank down to 290 microns. Would have been less but I discovered I didn't seat the adapter seal well enough on the gauge side so there was a small leak causing the process to take longer. Thank was user error on my part though. The gauge performed very well throughout. It does not measure any positive pressure though so you'll need another gauge if you want to store your tank with some minimum positive pressure to measure that.

I got this to test the levels of vacuum on a pump. But as soon as I turned the pump on, it went to zero in 1 sec. No pump for $100 can obtain a zero level in 1 sec. Sorry but this is not a accurate device for measurement.

...by the time I got to actually use it, it was long past return window. Tried to reach CMTOOL but there really wasn't any easy way to contact them for help. Thankfully, I was able to get this resolved much to my surprise and gratitude by contacting Amazon directly and their support person was VERY helpful. I was refunded all of my $$ by Amazon and evidently they didn't require the item to be returned...WOW! (There was no return label or instructions, so I'm assuming that's the case). So since I didn't actually get help directly from the product support people, I'm going to just be happy with this resolution and move along. Therefore, Amazon gets the 5* rating...but the gauge not so much. THANKS AMAZON for your excellent customer service!! :-)

Purchased this item for HVAC work. Reads 0 when in a vacuum regardless of the actual vacuum. Calibrated several times still didn't work. Temperature doesn't work either, Reads 15 C when its actually 12 C. SAVE YOURSELF AND DON"T BUY.

Did not display any vacuum reading at all. Tried calibration several times. This unit is nonfunctional for me. Too late to return it. I would not buy. 4/28/2024 - amended review to add: I purchased this device many months before I opened the box to use it for an install. Company reached out after becoming aware of the issue and offered me a full refund, which I accepted. So I want to acknowledge their good customer service in that they made it right.

Does what it’s designed to do. Fits well in the palm. Easy to read.
