PERFECT! I LOVE their dinnerware sets, unfortunately they didn't have enough "Purple" options. However, I have drooled over their casserole dish and mini pie plates for a year now. I ordered both as a present for myself and they are BEAUTIFUL and perfect for what I wanted! It is more beautiful than a picture does justice! I wanted the covered casserole for a few things, but most importantly it is deep enough to hold my Tiramisu! I can hardly wait to make Tiramisu in it! The lid is perfect and it should be ideal!

First of all, note that the dimensions for these casserole dishes - pretty much ALL casserole dishes, not just vancasso - are EXTERIOR, not interior, and they include the handles! So it's important to adjust your expectations accordingly. The interior dimensions are about 7 3/4 x 11 1/2. But I love the dish anyway. I sometimes like to buy refrigerated entrees at Sam's club, which come in a very decent aluminum tray. The tray has a plastic lid so you can see what it you're buying, but prep calls for covering the tray before it goes in the oven, so you have to use foil. Anyway this vancasso dish is almost exactly the same size as the aluminum tray, so I transfer the entree to the vancasso casserole and put the cover on before I put it in the oven. When it's time to serve, the casserole looks good on the table and if there are leftovers, the cover goes back on and it goes back in the fridge. Caution - the dish and the lid are heavy and the knob on the lid isn't easy to grab with a potholder so, so extra care is advised. The picture shows Sam's Club rotisserie chicken enchiladas (which are great!) and the aluminum dish they came in. They fit in the vancasso perfectly.

Got this for a potluck to bring spinach artichoke dip and it was perfect. Will serve well as a nice side dish for meals.

Beautiful smaller sized (cooking for 2) covered baking dish

I have had this for just over 2 years and have taken extremely good care of it. I pulled it out today to make lasagna and it has a Crack in the side of the dish that you can catch a fingernail on.

This dish isn’t just beautiful but also very practical, cooking in it is a real pleasure . It’s perfect size for making a traditional lasagne or roasting meat for the whole family. I love it !!!
