Dark Gray Coating Paint for Dishwasher Rack Repair – Uber Goop (0.5 Ounce) PATCH, DARK GRAY K-1422140-4

I have a Bosch dishwasher with both light and dark tines. This was a perfect match for the dark tines. The Goop was very easy to work with. I cleaned off the rust with a steel wool pad, rinsed and wiped it off well then let it dry. Afterward, I painted on the Goop. It was like working with a thickish fingernail polish. It dried very quickly and blended in. You have to make a point of looking to see where I used it. (I've attached a photo. Two repaired spots are in the photo.) It took very little of the product to do the touch ups. I'm planning to order the light colored Goop to see if it matches the light tines. Hopefully it is as good a match as the dark was. Given the variation in the colors of dishwasher racks, I really think they should sell this product as a 2-pack of light and dark and include a little mixing tray with a separate brush so you can make a custom color if needed. So far I'm very happy with this. I haven't used my dishwasher enough since making the repairs to comment on durability. (By the way, the repairs were to the tip of the third tine up from the bottom on the right in the photo and, on that same side, on the right side of the bar that holds all of the tines, between the 4th and 5th tines up from the bottom. Did you find them?)

I used this dark gray coating paint to touch up and repair areas on my dishwasher, and so far it has held up very well. Pros: * Easy to apply * Has held up well after application * Good coverage and adhesion when the surface is properly prepared * Works well for covering rust spots and damaged areas * Blends in nicely with the dishwasher finish Cons: * It can be difficult to reach every area that needs coating, especially when trying to create a complete seal around irregular surfaces or tight spaces. * Strong fumes during application, so adequate ventilation is important. * For best results, allow the coating to cure for at least 24 hours before running the dishwasher. Overall, this product worked exactly as intended and provided a durable repair. As long as you take the time to prepare the surface properly and allow it to fully cure, it delivers great results.

Although the product took almost 2 weeks to arrive, I am very pleased with the final results. The instructions are a little hard to read but if followed you'll get a great result. One area was very rusty. The bar nearly rusted away. I didn't think this product could salvage the area. You'll notice in the photo that although rough, it's completely covered. The other areas are un-noticealbe. The color match was close enough to my ASKO dishwasher grey color. >5 ounces is enough to cover at least 10-15 small areas. I recommend this product

Product works well. We had several areas that needed coating. The bottle has a smalll amount.

The goop works, but you cannot keep the brush out of the sealed bottle for even short time periods before the goop hardens on the brush, wasting a lot of goop that then has to be scraped off. The light grey is too light for most racks and the dark grey is too dark. The dark looks better on the in between grey rack though.

Worked well to repair rusted tines in my Bosch dishwasher. I have light gray nylon racks, but the tines are all coated metal. The color matched perfectly. We will wait and see how durable it is, but happy that the rusty spots are gone. I filed the bad spots with a metal file, cut off the excess coating with nail clippers, wiped with isopropyl alcohol. Applied several layers, let cure overnight. I did more of a dabbing motion rather than brushing, and did not have a problem with the brush drying out.

Works very well. Used to repair multiple rust sections on Samsung dish washer. Gray is a little dark but that makes it perfect to monitor repairs. Saves a ton of money. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS.
