Any trade or DIY professionals need these in the tool box or pocket .works great. And last long . My wife even uses them for her cross stitch.

These are great. However, make sure you remove the pencil marks from the object (wall) before painting. I was installing moulding on the stairs and marked the lines for the dado rail etc. with the red pencil. I thought the primer paint (Zinsser Coverstain) would cover the red pencil lines but even after a couple of coats it was still visible. I bought Zinsser Aqua BIN to cover the lines and this eventually blocked them. I think the pencils are actually like a crayon. The pencil marks aren't hard to remove so make sure you wipe them off before painting.

Great product. Easy to use and sharpen. It feels great . I like it better than the other one I have. I have been using it for work and it's getting a hammering. No complaints so far.

So, first of all I have a disability with my hands especially my writing hand and it's hard for me to squeeze pens and pencils then I get cramps and a lot of pain in my hand and fingers. I break a lot of wood pencil leads when my hand shakes when drawing pictures or blueprints for a piece of furniture I'm working on or marking out lines and such on a house project. I like the thickness of the 2.8mm leads which tends to take more abuse when I get the shakes. I love that the sharpener which is on the Nicpro mechanical carpentry pencil because there's nothing worse than going on a search for the pencil sharpener or climbing a ladder then you need to sharpen your pencil or the lead breaks and need to resharpen the pencil but, with these pencils it's right on the pencil and for me it's easy to put the sharpener between my fingers and push it down as far as it'll go then I push my fingers against something solid then I can sharpen the lead. So, the main reason why I purchased these mechanical carpentry pencils was the removable finger grips that are a perfect fit for my fingers and I don't have to struggle with holding the slim slippery metal shaft part of the mechanical pencil because I start to sweat then I really struggle and the finger cramps and pain begins but, with nice thick finger grips I don't get cramps or the pain unless, I over do it because I lose track of time especially when I'm in the zone drawing a picture or blueprints. I like how easy it is to change out the leads and the pencil really grips on to the leads and don't allow the lead to push up into the pencil like those cheap versions of the Nicpro mechanical carpentry pencil. When I am working on a house project and I need to mark out some holes or need to copy holes on to a different piece of wood it's really easy to slide off the removable finger grip on the Nicpro pencil, so you can quickly mark out the hole. It's so nice to have different colors of the leads especially when drawing blueprints which each color can represent something different but, if you're drawing a picture it's very easy to switch from colored pencil to colored pencil and when you get multiple colors which I went with the 3 Nicpro mechanical carpentry pencil set which comes with multiple leads for each color. The plastic case it comes with keeps everything organized including the extra leads, lead sharpeners, a little bubble level, and the Nicpro mechanical carpentry pencils. I have zero complaints about my 3 Nicpro mechanical carpentry pencil set, it was shipped very quickly and it arrived way ahead of the scheduled date of delivery which is always a nice bonus. I know that a lot of people think of a pencil that has a removable finger grips as a very minor detail and most don't even think about it but, when you have a disability something simple like removable finger grips can bring someone some happiness, enjoyment, and a feeling of worth which was lost soon as they become disabled and Nicpro were the ones that brought me back a lot of happiness, enjoyment, relaxation, and self-worth once again thank you Nicpro.

I’ve been using this daily for 6 months now and I gotta say,.. WOW! Durability is outstanding, replacement leads are flawless, color leads are the correct color, and the sharpener still works perfectly! I really didn’t think I would like it but I ended up loving it.
