BOSS Audio Systems BASS8 8 Inch Car Subwoofer, 800 Watts & Wiring Kit

Easy to wire up and sounds great in my Jeep Wrangler TJ. The sub fit perfect right under the rear seat and it gives me the bass I was lacking.

I installed under the driver seat in a 2018 Honda Fit Sport. The Boss 8 gauge power and ground wires were pretty brittle which pissed me off. When stripping the housing, I lost a few strands which is just poor quality brittle copper. I also don't like that the bass adjust knob doesn't say "Boss" on it. It's just a generic min/max knob. I wasn't happy with the sound until I adjusted the settings to get whatever I could out of it. I maxed out the gain and bass on the amp and set the LPF to 50Hz. I then set the dash knob to max. On my Alpine W770 headunit I set the sub to the max at 15 and the LPF to 50Hz and the HPF to 50Hz for the front and rears. Only THEN did it shine. With everything maxed and LPF set to 50Hz. I keep the volume at about 20 and it sounds like a concert. I have Alpine type-R 6.5" components in the front and type-R coaxials in the rear doors. It sounds nice and full now. There is no where else to go with this sub as I have it completely maxed out. But it sounds good now. I was a little apprehensive to max it, but it has a mosfet so it sounds be fine. But maxed is the only way it sounds good and full. Makes the music much more enjoyable filling in that bottom end.

For what it is and price point it is powerful and sounds good, I have it in my honda del sol which is a small car and this thing is small as well fits amazingly.

Waiste of time and money. The weakest "bass" I've ever heard. My cheap a$$ 4" door speakers produce more sound and deeper bass. Every dial is set to maximum and you can't even hear it. Underwhelming at best.

Amazing for the price works great and takes up little space

I was pleasantly surprised with this sub for the ~$100 all-in-one price tag. It doesn't rattle at all, and has pretty decent bass response for what it is. Don't expect it to rattle your windows or be heard from across the block, though. This is a perfect subwoofer for people who want their car audio to sound *good,* not just loud. I installed this under the seat of my 2015 Honda Civic which also has an aftermarket head unit and 4 aftermarket speakers. Sounds better than any factory car audio system I've ever used. IF you are also using an aftermarket head unit and are connecting the sub with RCA, be sure to connect the "remote" wire from your wiring harness. The sub can't power on without it, even with "auto power on" enabled. I thought I had a grounding issue or something but it turned out to be that silly little remote wire. They give you a super long extension wire in the box specifically for this purpose.

I installed this on my 1998 CRV under the driver seat, and for the size it sounds great. Definitely has good low end, I don't want to say it won't shake your glass or blow you away because in a way I feel like it does. Helps fill in that low end, but for the price it gives a solid amount of low end. Installed it on an adroid head unit where the red ignition cable was the cable the REM blue cable had to be tied into ans this kit has everything you need to install. Took me abour 4 hours because I wanted to make sure it worked before positioning and I've never done a sub install before! Would recommend
