No shoulder to stop penetration.
Bought to install a "Peep Hole" in my door. This hole saw can cut all the way through a door if you want it to. Some hole saws have shoulders that stop at a given depth so you need to insure you have a pilot all the way through to stay lined up when having to cut from Bothe side; this bit just goes on through! I am very pleased

Just the right size for 1 1/2 sch 40
I used this to pass some schedule 40, 1 1/2" through some walls, worked great. For the price, it is of good quality.
