I love these. I did not use them to melt. I ate them like candy, and oh, do they taste great. They were not stale. I love them too much and devoured both bags (with help). The size was perfect, as they reminded me of Tootsie Rolls. It was just the right amount of sugar and sweetness. The price was good. If you are using it for melting, I don't think you will have a problem with this candy. Either way, enjoy.
