Luganni, Multi-Purpose Liquid Crystal Thermometer Strip (46-82°F Range - 12 Pack)

If you keep your expectations reasonable you shouldn’t be disappointed. My recent 12-packs had only 6 in each but, other than the number per pack (packs were marked “12-pack”), these are a decent type of limited use thermometer. This type is not highly accurate and it can be hard to remove it but it does help in the greenhouse and on the wine fermentation bucket. Some tape on the sides, rather than using the adhesive backing, helps make them easily removable. They can also be hard to read but that’s often because of the angle or the amount of light in the room. I don’t expect them to be highly accurate and I do have other thermometers for that so my expectations are low and use them more as a ballpark estimate because I’ve never tested each for accuracy since they are reading the temp through something so that’s less accurate than sticking a probe type into the contents. We also use them to measure the air temp when making yogurt instead of opening/closing the probe 50-times.

Got these to more readily monitor the temperature for my kombucha Brewing jars and scoby Hotels. They work pretty well, and are tolerably accurate ( within two or three degrees of what I get when I measure with a thermoprobe). My main problem is that they can be rather difficult to read at times. You really need a fairly bright light to be able to see the difference between the correct number and the ones surrounding it. I've seen other Liquid Crystal thermometers which are much easier to read. However, for the price, these really aren't bad.

These work great for beer, cider brewing vessels as well as kombucha. They stick to the vessel (I’m using it on glass) and they give you a ballpark figure on temp of your brew. They are easy to use, and provide you with constant, instant temp readings. I think they are pretty accurate too.They stick well but I believe I should be able t remove them and restick them onto a new vessel. I may also just leave them on my vessel as is. I bought the multipack just in case and I think the price was worth it.I recommend these if you brew beer, wine, cider, kombucha and need to be aware of the temp easily. I bought this for my 1gallon betta tank. At fist I was confused because it did not came with instructions on how to use it. I soon realized that it was a sticker and it sticks to the OUTSIDE of your thank. Overall it was great. Pretty accurate with the temperature on the inside and we were happy with it. The only reason I don't give a 5 star review is because I changed my betta to a bigger tank and I was unable to get the sticker off the other tank in the attempt it completely ruin the thermometer :( it really sticks to wherever you put it, so make sure you put it where you want it and leave it there... IMPORTANT ONCE YOU PUT IT WHERE YOU WANT IT YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO REMOVE IT OR USE IT ON OTHER TANK!

These strips do not work. I am disappointed that I wasted my money on them. I used two strips and neither changed color to indicate the temperature range. Now, I have to buy strips from a different source that will hopefully work.Update: 6/19/2019- These strips work and are easy to read. When you first get them, allow a few hours for them to register the temperature. The thought they didn't work when I first got them and immediately applied them to my jar. I stored the extra's in a ziplock baggie. Now they work great very quickly. I have upgraded my rating from 1 star to 4 stars. I wish the strip temperatures registered a little higher than 82° F so I can tell if my brew is getting a little too warm.

I put mine on fermentation jars, so they get washed a lot. They hold up for a while, but wear out after a dozen washings or so. I know they're not supposed to be washed, so I expected as much since I punish mine so much. The ones that are just stuck to something and don't take all my abuse have lasted perfectly for over a year.

These strips surpassed my highest hopes. I use them for Kombucha making and they accurately tell me the temp all the time. I even washed a container accidentally in the dishwasher and even after that it still measured correctly. I checked by using another strip right next to it. Wow. I will definitely purchase these again!

Works just as described!I already had a temperature gauge on a glass jar and needed another one for another jar, when I stuck it on it started working immediately and went to the same temp as the other jar.Makes sense, my room is only one temperature.It sticks great and would probably be pretty difficult to get off, due to the good adhesive.Would recommend!
