This fan works for laptops without a separate Graphic Processor, heat sink paste is already on it.
I bought this because it was available with next day delivery. Here are a couple notes that should be helpful. This part was used to fix my son's Lenovo ThinkPak T480 without a separate Graphics Processor. 1) This fan comes with heat sink paste already on it. 2) I wiped it off the GPU heat sink and the CPU uses disposable lens cleaners. Leave the paste on the heat pipe that makes contact with the CPU. 3) I applied a little square of 1/8 inch thick self sticking foam. 4) Carefully set the fan with heat sink down to mate to the holes. Took around 30 minutes start to finish including replacing the battery. Look for videos if you need more help. Lenovo's are easy to work on.

Was fine for a few months, then suddenly stopped working
Originally 5 stars, but reduced to 1 star. Should be ZERO stars due to sudden failure 3months after purchase. My core temps got up to 85 Celsius and I’m very lucky that I didn’t fry the motherboard or CPU. The only stress on this laptop is a weekly zoom conference. No gaming, no crypto-mining. Junk fan. If you MUST purchase it, add the 5.99 protection. T480

Did not work on Lenovo Thinkpad 480T; fan runs continuously. No help.
This heat sink has never worked on my 480T Lenovo Thinkpad. I installed 3 times and the fan stays on all the time. In addition, it fails the system hardware check.
