I have 4b/c afto hair and I use this gel in 2 ways. 1. to define and hold my curls 2. To give me a nice sleek look and manage the flyaways when I have my hair in a bun. It works well especially in this heat!

Unisex product (for either gender). I added some to dry hair, and it let me style it, hold it in place and didn't make the hair look wet, but it did add a slight shine, feels like a little matte shine as my dry hair absorbed the gel easily. When applied to damp hair same thing, it did look a bit wet but that's because hair is still damp, when it dries up, it ends the same way. This is another great product by Totex my fav brand for hair styling products, if I could pick something negative here, I guess I would say usually Totex put the gels in larger tubs for similar price, thus better value, but I'd rather quality over value when my hair is short to medium length, because I only need to use a little bit of this for it to go a long way. Then again when my hair is long I would rather the quantity. P.S It smells good, is easy to put on, but its not totex's best scent I have used however. I cannot really find any review dampening faults for this product, so I'm giving it 5 by 5.

I was sent the TOTEX Hair Styling Freeze Gel to review, and my teenage son has been testing it out. His experience with this hair gel has been positive. The gel provides a strong hold, and effectively maintained his hairstyle throughout the day, and during rugby games, which is quite impressive! For his curly hair, the gel enhanced the definition and separation of curls, giving his hair a more structured and polished appearance. The long-lasting hold of the gel is a good feature, and compared more favourable against his current brand. He particularly liked the wet-look style the gel could achieve, giving his hair a shiny and polished appearance. Another plus was the scent of the gel, which was pleasant without being overpowering. It was also easy to wash out, which is always a bonus. Overall, we couldn’t fault this gel and it was actually better than the products I usually get him. 5/5
