Big Poppa Defining Gel, Curling Gel to Fight Frizz and Humidity, Curl-Defining Hair Products, Suitable for All Curl Types

Used this gel today after purchasing it hoping to start experimenting more with my curls and a routine and honestly it's fantastic. I don't notice a overpowering smell and although it applies a little sticky it when it dries its not sticky. It's also fairly light weight. My hair is naturally more on the dry side and this is a little drying but no more than any other product I've used so far. It creates a nice cast that I just scrunch out once it dries completely. Just to top it off I think the price is completely fair is not a deal for the amount of product.

For 3c 4a hair that never reacts or accepts ANYTHING! This is the holy grail!. I don’t even need to add much water to get my hair curly. It’s amazing and this was my RE-UP. Affordable and actually works. Coming from someone who has bought every price range from cecred pattern grow good Aussie you name it this Gel is the game changer. Your hair won’t be soft cause it’s gel?! Look last all day. If you don’t over do it it wont Be greasy. Moisturizing !

Not as good as advertised. I can see it being good conditioning curl amplifier, not so much for me I prefer ECO In fact, I had to use ECO on top of this for a more defined and lasting hold. Also, if you have a citrus allergy, DO NOT PURCHASE. I started itching, but I was running late, no time to wash it out and start over with just ECO. I'm back to edit my review. I initially gave this 3 star, but I had to give an additional star. I washed this product out earlier, as my allergic reaction worsen, and my breathing was labored. I noticed that my hair looked and felt healthier as within 1 day and a half of having it in. I washed the product out, and the curls held up. I figured surely it would be a mess after air drying. No, soft and somes curls after taken a ( without any head wrapping ), and my hair dried. I also not there fewer breakage. I usually go through my hair afterwards and there are little ends that I need to pick out. Perhaps, upon application I didn't have all of the tangling that I normally have to deal with when using ECO. *** I MOST NOTE *** My previous review stands, as I had to use a small layer of ECO on top to mask the citrusy smell and to get stronger, defined look. Even combined, my hair was soft and healthy looking until I washed it out. I could just manipulated with my hands come up without adding any additional water or gel to it. With ECO, it's usually dry the falling day and crushed. I would have to hydrate the curls for them to plump. One final con.. the Big Poppa, is a bit sticky. I'm not used to my ears, neck and forehead being sticky from products. Yes, it was sticky prior to adding the ECO layer. ECO is normally dry the within an hour. Good luck readers!!

Big Poppa is really good. This is my 4b/4c hair after applying the gel. My coils stay defined for up to 4 days before I need to wash again. I've even stretched it up to a week. The smell is light weight and divine. I love it. This product truly made me love my hair and feel confident to rock it out in public. I've gotten so many compliments.

Love this product. I’ve been using Doux for a while now and when I say game changer for me I’m in love. I would struggle with finding the right hair product that fits what my hair needs. I have 4c coily hair that never wants to hold any type of product no matter what I use. This dries but stays locked in. Using it when your hair is wet is the best easy to use of course. Leaves a hard case but I tend to get a lighter case only because I do use it with another Doux product the Def Mousse. Curls stay defined unlike other products I have use in the past stays light and the shine of you hair is there..

Product works great. My hair is fine, and this product gives me great curls when combined with gel, but it does leave my hair feeling greasy. I would use this product again.

The product is great ,it does just what it says holds your curls tight but the delivery said it would of been here day later of when I ordered but it came 2 days later

I like it,smells good I use this and a curl cream and its ok but I don’t think it helps much with my freeze if I use this alone

The curls this provided was so satisfying and lasting shine. Detangled, curled, softned, moisturized, great sheen and provided a great hold. Has a great smell No flakes! Will be repurchasing
