The Reappearance of Rachel Price honestly surprised me in the best way. The story starts with Rachel suddenly coming back after being missing for years, and her daughter Bel’s whole world gets flipped upside down. From there, the book becomes this mix of mystery, family drama, and “wait… what actually happened?” moments. The characters feel super real, especially Bel. You really feel what she’s going through—confusion, anger, hope, everything. The mystery keeps building, and every time I thought I knew the truth, the story twisted again. It’s an easy, addictive read that keeps you turning pages. The ending ties everything together really well and actually feels satisfying (which not all mysteries do!). If you like emotional mysteries with a bit of drama and lots of twists, this one is totally worth picking up. Loved it!

Where to start? I am a huge fan of Holly Jackson and I’ve read all her books. This book was so fun the story about Bel price and everything that happened. I did guess some things but damn what was Charlie a manipulative person, I was second guessing myself so much until the end. I loved Ash too, it was a very small romance plot but it was there and it was very fun. The things Rachel price went through were so sad and horrible. (I don’t think there are trigger warnings, but I am not to sure please do check) Overall I loved the story, the writing, super fun ya read!

📖Book Review📖 The Reappearance of Rachel Price WOW. Im so glad I picked this up when I did, from the first sentence I was HOOKED and just wanted to know more. I honestly DEVOURED this book. And if you know me you know I’m a slowwwwww reader but I flew through this book it was so addictive and gripping. I loved Bel she was my favourite character in the book, some people would probably say she’s mean but I honestly loved her. She was honest with how she was feeling and not afraid to speak her mind. I did feel a bit sad for her tho, it was like life dealt her a crap card but she just got on with it and didn’t complain. I could understand why she acted the way she did and why she didn’t want anyone to get close to her because they would just leave anyway. Bel and Ash together were fun, I loved their dynamic and their banter. I could never guess where this book was going. It kept me on my toes and I loved every second. It feels really good to read a holly Jackson book again and I can’t wait to read more from her I just love her writing style and how it grips you from the start and doesn’t let you go until the very end. The plot twists and turns in this book were crazy but just made the book more enjoyable and I was unable to put it down. And OMG the ending 😱😱😱 wow never would have guessed that. Reading this book disrupted my life (not in a bad way), I couldn’t do anything except think about or read this book. Genuinely one of the best books I’ve ever read. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t read it or a holly Jackson book yet. Definitely one of if not her best book by far. I loved the Reappearance of Rachel Price. The book explores themes like the invasive nature of true crime documentaries, verbal abuse and how it can take form and repairing family bonds . Without spoilers the best part of the book is the strained relationship between Rachel and Bel and how Bel is always suspicious of Rachel and how even though they are family she at times feels like she barely knows Rachel since Rachel hasn't been involved in their life and how the bond between them matures is what makes this a fascinating mother daughter bond. Also the family is very knives out like and how that is explored is very well done and realistic. I also like the close bond Bel has with Carter and how even when they disagree they always find a way back to caring for one another and to look out for each other. Overall the theme of the book about who is truly family to a person is what makes it effective because as a reader I was invested in what would happen to these characters because the connections they had made that possible and what bel comes to learn about members of her family is what creates that ability to care and the ability to somewhat relate as we all have moments where we find the people that actually care. I also like that the book keeps you in suspense and you never can truly predict what will be revealed in the twists there are times where like bel I as a reader didn't know who to trust and that made me want to keep reading. Truly great books make you not ever want to stop reading them always wanting to see what happens next and that's exactly what this book did for me. I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves being kept in suspense and loves themes on what it truly means to be family.
