I bought a book for beginners on hieroglyphics and found this item to make it fun for kids. Theres no real translation for certain sounds unless you combine 2 shapes, which this already does!! Example, its got like a pot and a cane for the letter “x” to indicatate a “k” and “s” sound combined. This was thought out well

These are very nice, although they should consider their packaging options. I ordered one and it came in a bubble mailer and was bent, so I had to replace it. Second one was fine. These should last forever one you have them.

Good idea . Template is too tight, cannot trace in it even with very thin utensils. A bigger one would be useful.

Great for student projects! It’s a bit small, so use wisely

I have ordered like 10 of these for think so far and will eventually get all of them. I teach a book workshop all the time and these metal stencils are great! IF you use a fine tip marker don’t move the stencil it will smear. I use a soft lead pencil first then go over it with pen and then erase Love them!

This is a perfect solid sheet of metal that can be used to write in hieroglyphics (transliterated). Each symbol is clearly marked with the English sound/letter it matches. I’ve used this to help my child (Year 4) do a project on Ancient Egypt. It was a great way to learn what the symbols mean. Tracing the symbols or using clay to make the hieroglyphs are both possible because the sheet is strong enough. Check the size of the sheet to have an idea of the symbol sizes if you want to use it for a specific purpose.
