Extemely pleased with the Tenrai Cat Playpen, Trapezoidal Design. I needed the playpen urgently and it arrived overnight. It was seamless to set set up and our cat immediately took to it. I am very pleased with how roomy it is - it allows room for the cat to move around and she loves to nap in it (which is a great review in itself). It's well made, sturdy in design and easy to use zip closures. We've had it for several months now and have had no issues with it. It will be a great product to travel with our cat. I will note that if you plan to travel with it, you will need to take the cat out prior to picking the playpen up to move it because the floor is not a solid surface.

This is great ! So well made and engineered. Our kitty feels so safe ! We keep it in the living room so that she can get used to it before we try it in the car. We are hoping it will make a good traveling tent for her. Its is super easy to put up and twist and fold back down for storage. I had to watch the Tenrai video a few times to understand how to do that, it's very much like a pop up tent. Absolutely perfectly constructed. The zips, the stitching is just perfect. We are all very happy with it !

my cat broke two of her metatarsal bones and had to live in a cage for six weeks. this is large enough to accommodate a small scratching post, medium to large bed and had space for her to stretch. my favorite feature was the separate space for litter box so she wasn’t right on top of her litter box. very easy to clean. one downside is she had an accident and urinated over litter box edge and that smell is difficult to remove so i will likely purchase another if i need to in the future. just put a puppy pad under litter box and you won’t have to deal with that. however the tent did keep most of the urine so it barely bled onto my carpet which was nice. the puppy pad would have absorbed everything tho so just don’t make that mistake. she was very comfortable for all six weeks of living in here. it is very sturdy and easy to move around. the zippers are high quality. 10/10 would recommend this product for any cat owner who has an injured/recovering cat. i did end up putting a bed almost double the size pictured and she still had room to move around.

Almost perfect. Great and sturdy. Perfect for introducing new cats to the household or helping a kitty heal. Only complaint is it’s too hard to fold for me.

Best soft-sided cage I could find (& I looked at many) for a cat recovering from surgery! When my senior cat had to wear a cone & be contained for a month following a major surgery, this tent-like cage served as a cozy yet sturdy cage for his recovery. It’s so roomy that I could easily fit a bed, large stuffed animal (for comfort), & a soft bath mat in the main compartment, with plenty of room for him to sleep, eat, & even play. I couldn’t believe how roomy & sturdy it was. The smaller tent fits a full size litter box that my chonky boy had plenty of room to stand up in & scratch around in while using the box. The litter box section has a special opening for easy cleaning! There’s a short tunnel that connects the 2 compartments & it’s wide enough to accommodate a cone. While his recovery was not easy, he really seemed to feel safe & cozy in his little tent. Now that his recovery is over, he still likes to sleep in it. I guess it made him feel safe during a traumatic time. It’s sturdy (just be sure to trim their claws as they will try to scratch their way out at first, although the mesh seems very sturdy & held up well) & also very easy to assemble (2 small discs that pop open to full size tents, then you zipper them together). Other reviews comment how difficult it is to squash it back down to put away for storage…I haven’t tried this yet but it does seem like it will be harder to put away than it was to assemble. But for an emergency medical situation, the ease of assembly was more important to me than dealing with putting it away later. The zippers are very sturdy (I can’t even tell you how many times I must have opened & closed them over the last month & they never jammed). It’s overall very secure & my kitty was not able to escape (except for one time when I accidentally left one part of the main flap open when cleaning his litter box, which was my fault & not a flaw in the design). I honestly can’t recommend this cage enough. It got me & my baby safely through a very difficult time. I even sent the link to the surgeon so they can recommend to others. As for keeping clean, be proactive & put wee wee pads on the floor of both compartments before you put in the bed, blankets, litter box, food dish, etc…just for your peace of mind in case of spillage or accidents. I put pads underneath both tents as well, just for an added layer of protection. Litter will be scattered during normal use, but can be swept up or vacuumed. Great product that really did everything I needed it to do in a very challenging situation.

This is a great product! My 12 lb. cat used it for 2 months post-surgery. Great size, great zippers, easy to move around, super easy to unpack and set up (vacuum packed in a tiny package, unfolds almost by itself), nice and tidy appearance, great in every way. My cat doesn't need it anymore, but she is used to it as her safe space. Temporarily replaced cat litter area with a soft towel and she loves it. That smaller side, attaches with a zipper to the larger side. You can thus use them separately, but then neither "room" will be totally enclosed. I'll probably keep the smaller (cozy) "room" for to serve as an open-air house for her.

This portable Cat playpen is perfect! I love it! It is well constructed and good quality materials. As you can see in the pictures it is large enough to hold a small dog bed and small water and food dishes. I recently had my cat spayed and it worked fantastic in keeping her contained and giving her a spacious and comfortable place to recover. The area designed for the litter box holds a small litter box and it worked well for my cat. I love how the litter box is separate from the main part of the playpen. It also unzips and detaches for cleaning as well as has upper and lower zippers on the front of it for easy access to the litter box for cleaning. There are several zipped access to the playpen making just access to the cat or cleaning a breeze. And best of all, when you don't need to use it, it folds up nice and compact. It would be perfect for travel if you had to take your pet along. I would highly recommend this product! It

It was great to keep a new kitten separate from resident cats - super easy to set up, roomy enough for food bowls and bed to be in a different area from litter box, easy to keep clean, you name it. Then, it came time to break it down for storage. There are absolutely no instructions, so you have to google a video and hope someone put one up. The zippers that attach the top were next to impossible to remove, and by the time we were able to get the thing collapsed enough to start folding it, a support wire snapped, making it useless, so it went into the trash. Frustrating, because it cost $50, and we'd hoped to be able to keep it in case one of our cats needed to be kept separate from the others in the future. Lesson learned, I suppose - if the manufacturer would have included decent directions, this thing would have been perfect!

My cat broke a bone in her paw and needed a splint with cast (and a cone). I thought I'd try and let her roam freely around my condo since she was already miserable enough. But she wouldn't stop jumping onto high surfaces, and I was worried she was going to further hurt herself. I bought this playpen over others because it has the separate attachment for the litter box. It's worked great so far. My cat has calmed down a lot and will actually rest now. The playpen was easy to set up (it literally unfolded itself) and the zippers are conveniently placed for giving her new food, water, and litter. I'm confident I can fold it up for storage once I no longer need it anymore.

My cat broke his leg and needs to avoid jumping while his leg heals. It’s been 3 months already and this ‘cubby house/tent’ has been his new home and he loooves it! It’s very durable and easy to clean and move around. We ended up buying 1 more and my other cat and dog both love it too! Both my cats are able to sleep in 1 cubby house at night with the kitty litter box inside. It’s absolutely purrfect!
