I removed the cover to inspect the circuit board and by the first photo you can see that the neutral from the line is directly jumpered to the neutral for the load i.e. they are not switched as stated by a previous review and therefore NOT an NFPA issue. The relay only switches the hot wire shown as red in the schematic. The vendor would do themself a favor by including this drawing to avoid confusion.

Device switches hot only, and since most switches (lights and ceiling fans) are wired only for hot anyway, it's actually a positive. Wire neutral in just to give the switch the necessary power to operate, and ignore the neutral out for a simpler installation.

If your internet is off even after configured, you will not be able to remote control switch. If you are out of data on your phone, no remote control either. Does not have LAN fail over. I've come to learned to stay away from the off brands of ITEAD/Sonoff. If device uses ewelink STAY AWAY. Buy Smart Life compatible devices. They run when cloud isn't available.

The description states this device is CE approved. However there is no CE mark, or any other NRTL marking on the device.It seemed small enough to go inside a round electrical box, but might be risky due to no safety label. 120 volt wires are very close together on terminal block. Way too risky, returned product. Amazon was great.

They are a bit cheap but do work the ewelink app is kinda lacking and it just don't work sometimes so don't depend on it being perfect when you set up use a device not on a phone network ie a tablet or non activated phones seem ok to then open the app in whatever device the closer it is to your WiFi when setting up the better they will need a firmware update

Very good value.The led color is not always correct, the electrical connection is a bit small and doesn't look very string, but for most uses where a cheap switch is needed, it's a very good option.I use it with 220 volts, 1500 watts and it works fine.
