Unlike some other reviews, my cutting mat arrived in excellent condition, and undamaged by staples or clips. It was also flat and did not require any remedial action so I amazed at the quality of this cutting board, it is twice the thickness of the ones used prior to this. The only downside to it is that the measurement guide is only done in imperial; not metric at all. Also, there are no angle guides eg. 30° and 45°

It was also flat and did not require any remedial action.It is fairly thick, and the markings are very clear. It remains to be seen if its appearance will deteriorate over time, but bearing its price, I believe it is unbeatable. You can buy other A2 cutting mats at a far higher cost, but unless you require something much more sophisticate for professional use, I cannot see any reason why you should look elsewhere, and it is highly recommended.

Used a few times now, the mat is a decent thickness and takes knife cuts pretty well. I've have used it to solder on, also glue items without any issues so far. The useful gridlines on the mat help with keeping cuts straight and the A3 size is great for most small jobs.Delivery was fast and the mat is good value.

You can't go wrong for £2. This mat will protect the surface you are cutting on, but I don't really get what they meant by the 'self-healing cutting mat'. I have load of cuts on the mat, it is easy to do and they are not self-healing. If you are a heavy user this amt will last a while but not forever.But apart from that it is worth it as a low cost cutting mat, that does the job that it was designed for.

I use this mat as a backing mat on my calygraphy drawing board. This saves me from using several sheets of art paperthat eventually tear and have to be discarded. As I don't use the mat for cutting, the surface is always flat. The line markings are a good guidance for letter sizing and positioning. I use a laser spirit level when laying out. I use a length of white painted MDF as a reflection board at the base of my board, this gives me an accurate indication as to how upright my line will be. I can use the same method for horizontal lines. I just move the reflector board to the side edge of the mat and the laser level to the other edge and away we go.I may have been lucky with my delivery driver as my mat was delivered perfectly flat. I was going to stick it down but found it would not move unless I physically moved it. What I did though was to find and mark the top and bottom centres of mat and board. I took a little time and care, now I know that I will always reposition my mat accurately if I do need to move it anytime in the future.I only have one little niggle. The mat I bought is A2 size, that is 570mm wide plus selvage edges. The overall width is 600mm but the centre of the marked grid will be 285mm. This needs to be your centre mark if you want to centre your drawing sheet accurately to the grid. An A2 sheet is 570mm x 430mm.

Many of this kind of mat has the overprint is white paint which just wipes off when one cleans it with white spirit as I do frequently but this one is of the old type that I have used for years and the background rule etc. is bonded into the material. Super and have kept the suppliers details to hand.

Does exactly what it needs to at a good price

There are some very expensive cutting mats about, this isn't and I believe will last as long as the best of them, I am very satisfied with my purchase, it arrived quicker than expected and is nice and thick and should protect any surface, recommended
