I have to tell you that when it came I thought 'what the hell'... but it turned out to be premature. This is a wonderful little light, has four settings and even the brightest doesn't wake my husband. It sits well on a paper back and doesn't cast shadows on the page. Charges via USB port. I don't know how long the battery lasts before needing a recharge but I have used the light at the highest level for over 3 hours without dimming. Would purchase again.

This e-book light has two separate settings, it is light weight and fits perfectly over my e-book cover. It is great for reading when traveling or when you want to read in bed. The lamp head is adjustable and the light does not give off a glare. It is reasonably priced and it is a good value. The device does require 3 AAA batteries that are not included.

My desk doesn't have good lighting, so I clipped this onto the top edge of my laptop. The brightness is good for my laptop. I don't know about it for reading a book, because I haven't tried it. The different light colors from soft to bright are nice. The flexible neck is clever. Great value!

So far I'm loving this. Its prefect for the reMarkable 2 holds by clamping only on the boards. The clamp can go down to were its on the screen but does not seem to hurt it.To be on the safe side I put a piece of felt that had tape on the back on the part that can touch the screen.After using awhile I noticed that you could not write on a small part of the screen on top.It was the magnet on the booklight doing it.I took the magnet out and now its fine.

Bought this to help me read paperwork at work since I’m often outside and working at night. Loved it very much but light became weak and not usable after five hours of use. Still lights. Just weak and can’t read with it. Too bad too. Everything about this light is great.

Charges quickly nice selection of brightness and is extremely light easy to adjust and attaches on to iPad or book very easily. Just what we wanted.

This light is really cool! It took me a minute to figure out how to charge it. You put the actual plastic usb labeled piece into a usb charger. I’ve never seen that on another device! An orange light comes on when it’s connected correctly. Took about 30 mins to charge and it’s ready to go. There are 3 light settings and it attaches easily to my old kindle. Really happy with this purchase.

UPDATED REVIEW, 2 STARS: I'd purchased a second one of these so that my son could read at night, too. After several months of use, one of them no longer charged, and the other would not remain bright enough to read for more than an hour. Now neither one of them are of any use to me. :(-----------ORIGINAL REVIEW, 5 STARS: I can't believe these are so inexpensive! It's surprisingly bright, even on the lowest setting - but not so much as to bother my partner when reading in bed. Haven't tried it on a regular paper book, but it does an excellent job with my Kindle DX.Lasts several nights before needing a recharge. I really appreciate that it's USB rechargeable and that there's no hassle with needing batteries!
