Why do these say "For single use" on the side of them? Are they not durable enough to be used over and over?

Probably because they are not very cleanable. If you're using them for anything where contamination may be an issue, then you won't want to use the multiple times. I've used them repeatedly for some crafting uses, and yes, they definitely are sturdy enough to reuse multiple times. But contamination is not an issue for me, so YMMV.

Would these syringes hold up to brake fluid?

Perhaps but I am not sure. I use mine to put water in my cart batteries. The first time I used one the thumb ring broke. Since brake fluid is much denser I would not recommend using the thumb ring to try and draw it up.

do these have grease or goo on the plunger to help lubricate it?

No, there isn’t any lubricant on these syringes.

what is the outer diameter on 100ml?

It is about 1 1/2 - 1 3/4. It needs to be used for a big dog.
