This will get your man cooking
My partner loves this cookbook. The instructions are very easy to follow and the recipes are extremely visually appealing. We always feel very satisfied after each meal, and the flavors are great. He's a novice cook, and gets so excited to complete a recipe :)

Cooking 'Healthy-ish' is easy and delicious.
Thank you Lindsay Maitland Hunt. This is a great cookbook -- it has beautiful pictures and a chatty, sensible vibe. You show us that cooking healthy food that tastes good is achievable. The cooking directions are clear and I like the suggestions for sensible shortcuts (e.g. use a rotisserie chicken from the market). Since it arrived, I've already made a number of recipes--I've even made the Red Lentil soup twice! This book has earned a place on my shelf of 'frequently used cookbooks'. Several of the recipes provide great ideas and tips/techniques that are transferable. The Cauliflower Frittata is a great weeknight supper, and I love the technique of using just one pan. This can be applied to other frittatas as well! The Arctic Char and Cucumber/Radish salad is a great combination, and the salad would be delicious with other roasted meat or fish. The buckwheat bars are a tasty treat. Finally, this book features a comprehensive index in a type font that is easy to read. The separate 'special diet' indexes are really helpful. They make it easy to find recipes that are gluten-free, dairy-free or vegetarian.

The recipes are delicious and easy to follow!
I love this cookbook. The recipes come out exactly as explained in the book - no surprises and very easy to follow. I have been making soups this October to eat and freeze the leftovers. I bought a case of mason jars and intend to fill my freezer with soups to enjoy this winter. I made the Curried Sweet Potato soup and it was delicious. The consistency was perfect - not too thick and not too watery. It has a subtle bite, which adds to the complexity of the flavors. This recipe made enough to feed my husband, bring to a neighbors house, and fill several mason jars to defrost next month. I used Lindsay's Whole Poached Chicken with bonus Stock, used the stock I needed for the soup, and froze the rest of the chicken stock for future soups. Lindsay's recipes are also very practical. The tips at the back of the book are very helpful - how to peel garlic quickly and slice squash. I ordered several copies and this is my "go to" hostess gift this fall for my friends.

This Will Get Used a Lot
I just bought this as an e-book today and sat down and read through it right away. I love this so much I may have to buy a physical copy too. All these recipes are so doable! How can you beat easy, accessible ingredients put together in simple, quick ways that result in meals with an eye toward providing solid nutrition in a a satisfying and tasty way? I love the premise of ‘healthyish’ because I do want to eat mostly healthily but I don’t want to become a slave to healthy eating. The one thing that would make this book better for me would be the inclusion of nutritional data on each recipe. I think not including it might have been deliberate, to emphasize the ‘ish’ part of healthyish, but as a diabetic it is important to me to know the net carbs in my meals in order to properly meal-plan and medicate. That’s the only thing stopping this from being a 5 star review.I will definitely be looking for more from this author!

Easy to follow and delicious
My kids are obsessed with the whole wheat chocolate chip cookie bars, and one of my favorites is the skirt steak with corn, potato, and smoked mozzarella salad. The recipes I’ve made so far are pretty easy to follow with simple ingredients, which I appreciate as a busy mom!

Easy to follow and delicious recipes
I purchased Healthyish because my New Year's resolution was to cook myself healthy meals more often. As someone who rarely cooks and has minimal skills in the kitchen, I got this book to help me get started making easy, healthy recipes. The instructions are easy to follow and the beautiful pictures help me know what my goal for each dish is. The smoothie recipes are great for breakfast and I've tried a few of the soup recipes also, which are delicious. Healthyish has been great so far and will (fingers crossed) help me stick to my resolution!

Tasty recipes, but no nutritional facts.
I've tried a handful of these recipes and I've loved them all. Really really good!My only qualm is that this cookbook doesn't provide any nutritional facts for each recipe, so it's hard to monitor calories, fat, carbs, sodium, etc.Other healthy living-style cookbooks I've used have always provided a breakdown of this information for each recipe, so I thought it was strange that this one did not. Just thought others might want to know that before purchasing! But, if you're just looking for a healthy-ish cookbook with great meals and you aren't following any sort of strict diet - this is a great choice.

I am so happy that this book now lives in my kitchen
I am so happy that this book now lives in my kitchen!!! I've always been into healthy eating, but never to the point that I have to go to extremes to make it happen...which is why this book really hits home for me. The recipes are all healthy, with a nice little twist/pop of flavor that makes me feel like I cooked something legit delicious.I'm also a big fan of Lindsay's relatable writing style ... her explanations of how she came up with each recipe, plus her instructions on how to actually cook the thing, are so chatty and personable. Her writing makes me feel like she is right there in the kitchen with me! She clearly just gets it (and by it I mean life). I especially love how she says in the intro that many of the recipes are made so that you can get the ingredients ready, then go forth and get cozy in your sweats, uncork the wine, and be on your way to a chill night on the couch. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT FROM A HOMECOOKED MEAL! Big ups to Lindsay for all of the inspiration and for keeping it real in a world that's so quick to go to extremes! Highly, highly recommend this cookbook.

Yummmm,
Really like this cookbook! Beautiful photos for inspiration, and tasty new dishes to try. It’s easy to follow, and the flavours are awesome, sometimes I think she over salts and spices the food though, and Some of it isn’t to my taste, but I like to try new things.
