Misleading description. Marginal performance. Broke after year and a half.
Long term quality remains to be seen, but the description as an all stainless steel can opener is a bit misleading. I have had three can openers break on me over the past few years and was looking for something rugged to replace them. Stainless steel seemed to fill the bill. Unfortunately, there are two plastic components hidden in the product photo which are exactly the ones that have failed in my past can openers. (See my photo). As to performance, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Often it seems to close too far when attached and I have to release it and start over before it will work. Sometimes it operates perfectly. At other times it tears up the can (see my photo). All I can say is I have been using can openers for 50 years and this one is no miracle breakthrough.UPDATE: After 18 months of very light use, the turning mechanism snapped off while opening a can. See the 3rd photo. It's hard to believe one could snap stainless steel even at a weld.

Was great at first...
Bought this 1-1/2 years ago. I've used it very lightly over that time and now it's dull or something. It takes a lot of strength to use it. Very disappointed.

I had hoped this can opener was like the old style heavier metal ones which, while barbaric in nature worked perfectly for ever and ever. This one works maybe 1/2 as well. It doesn't adjust well at all to different depths of can lids and won't cut some at all and cuts intermittently on others. A few, it works well.

My wife loved this can opener, easy to use. Handles are sturdy and easy to grip. Would buy again.

Paying more clearly does not mean quality.
Since I bought this I've used it only a handful of times. It broke on a regular old can of diced tomatoes. Most expensive can opener I've ever bought. Also the worst quality and shortest lasting.It looks like it's held together by glue and the glue on the spin handle failed.

Stopped working after 1 month.
Completely stopped working after about a month. I've emailed the seller and recieved no response –– AVOID.
