I purchase this for use at my daughter's wedding. It always seems to happen.. a button falls off a shirt, or a hem is suddenly loose, or there's a small seam tear somewhere... This kit came with thread in every color imaginable, plus pins, snaps, buttons, scissors, needles, etc. Great kit, whether it is for an event like I was hosting, or just for home use. Good overall value!

Not only do I have this kit, but when my 12-year-old niece decided to take up sewing, it was the first thing I thought to send her! The scissors are amazing! And the thread is well-made!

We all have our motives for purchases, some not necessarily as obvious as others. I already know how to sew and just wanted a better container for my few sewing supplies that I use for minor repairs and button re-placing when necessary. Perhaps I could have just acquired an empty container or even a shoe box, but this seemed better. The contents are marginally useful, but low quality overall. I may still just get a tackle box or something, but for it's compact size and utility (and its ability to contain the remnants of my old standby 'portable' emergency sewing kit), it serves my needs. A few extra spools of thread in a variety of colors is always theoretically useful, but lets be real: black, white, navy and grey thread cover 99% of my use scenarios.You know what I'd love to see? A high quality hand sewing 'kit' with just the color thread I mentioned, a good sewing scissor, a thread puller, a few quality needles and maybe a magnifying lens that attaches to a stand or the box, to aid in fine detail examination when doing a repair or threading a needle. It doesn't exist. Someone produce that kit and I bet it would sell very well on Amazon.

We bought this as our first sewing kit and it is a really nice set. Comes with everything you need and plenty of colors. Love the box it comes in!

I was pleasantly surprised by how thoughtful this was packaged and prepared. It was shipped with good packaging so nothing was damaged when it arrived and all the pieces were in nice shape. The box is pretty and comes with a little lemon sachet for a lovely scent. Can’t wait to use it!

Very nice but only 8 inches long (21 cm). More of sewing box or kit. Not for real seamstress or sewing kit.Going by the size, also way too expensive. I will be returning.
