I’m not new to micro-needling, this was a replacement for my old one. I try to replace at least once a year as the needles will dull with use.This item feels of good quality, it rolls nicely on the skin. The rolling mechanism is smooth and stable. I ordered my dermaroller to increase hair growth on my scalp, having read how effective it can be for thinning hair. Using this regularly (no more than once a week) has definitely encouraged new hair growth! It's not too painful and I find the rolling mechanism easy and fast to use however it's very difficult to keep it clean, especially in the grooves the roller clips into which inevitably catches onto long or broken hair. It was a real mission to remove the roller (ouch) and then I needed tiny tools to dig out any little hairs from previous sessions, yuck. For this reason I have just ordered a Koi dermastamp which looks a lot easier to clean. Hygiene is super important, especially when you're creating small tears and drawing blood. This roller would probably be perfect for the face or skin use but I wouldn't recommend it for scalp, especially if you have long hair. Please do your research before dermarolling, make sure you sterilise your tools and use the correct needle length. Good luck :)
