XHHOME Wooden Wax Seal Stamp(Fish)

[Alright, first off, a review for you TL;DR (too long; didn't read) folks: Great product! 4.8/5 and would purchase again. Wax sticks are nice, cool variety to get you started. Practice is your friend with the wax sticks; don't expect to master them right away. Seal itself is great. Bigger than I thought, about the size of American Half Dollar. All came packaged nicely and arrived earlier than expected. As long as you're not expecting the wax and seal to work themselves, you'll have fun. You're welcome for an abbreviated review.]Right, so I'm not a professional, but I have really been getting into letter writing recently, and I wanted my letters to stand out. So I started browsing around Amazon for some wax seal stamps because 1) they're just really cool, 2) very fun for an arts-and-crafts kind of person. Here are my thoughts (pics will probably follow soon):This is a really quality product! Arrived way faster than I expected, and really neatly packaged. I felt the seller really took some quality time to ensure the package arrived in excellent condition. The seal itself is definitely bigger than I thought it would be. For some reason, I thought it was going to smaller like some of my other stamps, but it's almost exactly the size of an American Half Dollar coin. Not an issue, but definitely took me by surprise. Probably didn't look hard enough at the product specs.At any rate, the handle is real wood - very nice - and the actual stamp can unscrew from the handle (I suppose this is for swapping stamps). When the seal is screwed onto the handle, it feels quite snug and secure - almost no wiggle room whatsoever.This product also comes with an assortment of five (5) different colors of sealing wax sticks. These are the variety with wicks in them, which I think I'm preferring to be honest. Certain things to be aware of with these little guys. Getting the wax to melt evenly is not hard, but takes time. Also, because it takes time to get enough wax to melt onto the paper, you have to really plan out your wax melting. I have found that for the size of this stamp, it is better to melt the wax in a circle from the outside to the inside. You basically make a little spiral movement as you create the wax puddle. This way, when you go to stamp, the outside of the seal will be cooling first, allowing you more time to make a clear impression in the wax before it cools completely. Little advice with this is to do this in a room that's somewhat warm. I started doing this in my room, which is almost always cool, and I made the mistake of having my ceiling fan on. I wanted to make sure that the smoke from the wick didn't set off my alarm, but that extra breeze, small though it was, cooled the wax faster than I wanted it to. Something to be aware of.The colors are cool, though my favorite by far is the red (good thing I bought some more from another vendor!). The other colors I received were a more yellowish gold, a true metallic gold, a metallic looking purple/violet (also quite nice), and a bronze color. All of them got the job done, and I'm still practicing the whole stamping thing - which by the way, if you want this to work, you WILL need practice. Unless you've been doing this awhile, don't expect to pick this up right off the bat. Patience will be your friend, and I strongly recommend either getting more of these wax sticks with the wicks so you can actually make use of your practice, or opt for purchasing a melting spoon and wax beads. I suppose you could also shave some of the wax from these sticks into a melting spoon as well.All in all, would definitely purchase this product or a similar product from this vendor again. Really professional packaging, nothing arrived chipped, broken, or anything like that. Quality product, really quite pleased with it. Now, I'm off to practice with these wax sticks to see if I can't get them to behave better.

Incredible stamps for such a great price!! I opted to get all 7 of the House stamps (well, the 7 Houses offered here :P ) and am really happy I did! They're HUGE, for starters - much larger than the average stamp head that is roughly the size of a quarter. These are sized more closely to a $0.50 piece. The images transfers very nicely and is easy to pick up off the wax once cooled - no wax stays in the image, it is a completely clean press. Can't say enough good things!! Excellent product!!!

Yeah, got 7 seals along with 7 handles! I could have made do with just one handle given that all the seals are screwed-on type seals, but hey not complaining.

Bought this as a wedding gift so that the groom could send customized invitations. The stamp is well-crafted and the wax is fairly high quality, resulting in a clearly imprinted, sturdy seal even though the user had no prior experience.
