Excellent - even for older people
I bought my first one last year as I was about to downsize and not take the cooker with me. Thought it would do as a stop gap but after seven months daily use it's been so good that I don't want to go back to a normal size cooker. I don't need 4 rings but I thought 2 might be beneficial so today I've taken delivery of my second hob, identical to the first. I'm 76 so I had a few crucial criteria on the checklist when I was choosing a model. Safe, simple, stable, solid and sensible. This ticks all those and more. No fiddly knobs. Simple, effective and rapid heat control by means of a touch screen. The lettering is clear and easy to read and the display lets you know exactly what power level you're on. If you need to raise or lower it, just touch the screen till you reach the required level (e.g if you boiled something and then want to simmer). Easy to clean - no different to any other ceramic hob but I will get some purpose made cleaner for it tomorrow. It's wiped after every use and I was careful when siting it, ensuring it sits on a heavy duty heatproof & level base, under the extractor and with clearance around it. So, my experience to date has been excellent - boils well, simmers perfectly, fries evenly - all with standard cookware. The 2nd hob will be used with borosilicate glass jugs for gently heating drinks and keeping them warm at the dining table. I need to master the timer next as I've not tried it yet. It arrived well packaged, no damage whatsoever, speedy delivery and includes as instruction book. Note this is not a flimsy item but a solid piece of proper kitchen equipment that will hopefully be the last I need to buy. First rate product Karinear, thank you, and thank you to Amazon for great service.

Looks great at first test
Quite lightweight and easy to use, perfect for cookery classes and portable kitchens. Surface is nice and flat so extremely easy to clean once it''s cooled down. Tested it and boiled a pan of water in less than 10 mins at 1800 watts (it goes up to 2000 if needed). The fan stays on once turned of to keep cooling down and it's not that noisy as some mentioned in their reviews. It's a fan!! Plenty of warning for hot surface. Definitely a good product, I need 4 in total but bought only one to test first. Getting the other 3 straight away.

Decent does what it says efficiently
Does what is says and does it efficiently, decent size for comfortable use while also being easy to put away comfortably. Decent hob, with fan cooler that makes sense (prevent over heating).Be gentle with the surface ( slightly delicate).

An excellent hob
I bought this to replace a similar device (different brand) which, after several years of great performance, had become faulty. I am delighted that this Karinear seems to be every bit as good.It is easy to use, power being variable at 200 W intervals between 200 W and 2000 W. That high maximum power is useful for bringing a pan rapidly to the boil, before tapping the touch control to reduce power for steady boiling or simmering. The Karinear nicely complements my other 2000 W single hob, which is an induction unit and therefore not compatible with a few of my cookware items - in particular the aluminium "pot" of my sear-and-stew slow cooker. The smooth and flat top surface is easy to clean. A nice touch after turning off is the "Hot" warning on the display.Recommended without reservation.

Excellent thing
An absolutely fantastic bit of kit, it runs very hot if needed, is compact enough to fit on a large shelf, and works perfectly, I don't own an oven since moving, but this does everything I need! It feels very well made and sturdy too.

Packed up after 9 1/2 months seller not responding
Itโs ok, takes ages for the fan to cool it down before you can unplug itDeveloped an overheating fault after a few months rendering it unusable on higher settings which gradually worked its way down to the the lower settings to the point of not being worthwhile usingIn my opinion something like this should last longer, so this is not of merchantable quality but the seller (sold through Amazon) do not respondBetter off with an old style hot plate for less than half the price, they tend to last a good deal longer before they fail

Very good
Purchased to replace IKEA induction hob. Very pleased with this. Good size and heats well, even large pans. Easy to clean. I only have a couple of niggly gripes. First, unable to get 200c setting (may not exist). It leaps from 150c to 250c. Second is when I push the minus to reduce the heat, it goes up instead, so I have to push it again to go down in temperature, minor gripes as I say.

Very good and easy to use.
Very good and easy to use. I think it's better than an portable induction hob. Price is very reasonable.

Perfect for travel
This little stove top is perfect for basic cooking tasks. We love to take this with us on vacation with a small pot and pan so we can always cook some noodles as a late night snack or some fried eggs for breakfast. The burner is big enough for a full size frying pan or large pot, so you can really do some serious cooking with this thing. There is a large usable heat range which makes it very versatile for various cooking tasks. The glass top is very easy to clean with just a damp cloth and some dish soap as well. Overall you really can't go wrong with this if you need a portable stove top for travel or a dorm room. This would also be good to have as a backup just in case your main stove should malfunction. Absolutely worth every penny, don't hesitate to get this.

Confusing documentation and questionable service options...but it works
I'll start by saying, this works. It heats up quickly and very hot. The product page says that it maxes out at 1800W, but I was only able to figure out hot to get it to 1600W. Still, it hated and boiled a pot of water super-fast. The panel lights up red when in use, which is a nice little safety feature. There were a number of design idiosyncrasies to get used to. First off, usability could be a little better. When you plug it in, the LED panel lights up with what I assume is supposed to be the brand name ("Hor") and the on button lights up, but the unit is really still off. If you press it again, you see "- - - " on the LED panel, which means it's on. Confusing, but once you get used to it, it's fine. Then, you press the "Function" key to toggle between settings labeled things like "simmer", "boil" and "fry". Again, a little confusing until you realize that these are just placeholder names for the wattage/temperature setting. You can run this at 200W or up to 1600W, all in 200W increments.Another thing you need to get used to is cooking by "Watts" and not by temperature. There's a rough conversion chart in the manual, but it's really not very accurate. The manual is really confusing at times; it refers to the unit as an "induction" heater, but this isn't an induction heater, it's an electric hotplate or burner. This means you can use any materials, including stainless steel, copper, and other non-magnetic metals on it.As with many of these direct-from-the-manufacturer products, don't expect too much in terms of customer support with this one; the customer support address goes to a generic email domain and not a company domain.Usability and support aside, the unit works. It's brand new so I can't say how long it'll last, but given how light it is I'd think that it wouldn't really be able to withstand a lot of constant use. That said, if you just need it for occasion use, it's not a bad little unit.

Great additional burner!
We ordered this because our stove is induction. Sometimes people bring pans over and we cannot use them. This is why we got this one for this reason. This thing gets hot quick! It's really nice and solid. I threw a pot on there and it didn't take long for water to boil. It's very portable and doesn't weigh a lot. 1800 watts is a lot! So make sure your circuit can handle the highest setting. Love this!

Heats Up Fast and Easy To Use
This stove heats up fast. During the holidays, I need additional burners because Iโm cooking so many dishes for the guests. There is no set up with this stove. You plug it in and use it. My ceramic pans and All-clad pans work nicely on these. I like that I can use this stove at the buffet to keep the mashed potatoes warm. I can manually set the temperature to the low setting. Itโs a good buy.

Plug and play electric stove- perfect for small kitchenette spaces
Plug it in, turn it on, and you're good to go. It's easy to set the temperatures- there are preset temp options depending on what you're cooking, or you can manually set the temp to whatever you want. There's even a timer so your food won't burn if you step away and don't come back quick enough. Make sure to wipe any water or oil off of it when you're done to keep it nice. It heated my ceramic pans evenly, and I was able to make a great noodle dish. Seems to heat more evenly than coil stoves or gas which I really like. It's not insufferably hot while you're neat it either. I love this thing so much
