Remote Control RV Roof Vent Fan, 12V 14" Super Quiet RV Roof Fan with Rain Sensor, 10-Speed, Reversible

I love the remote feature, our older ones had a thermostat on the wall that was supposed to open and close on their own. With the remote, I can open and close without reaching. I haven't tried the rain sensors yet but think they'll work better than the originals. The smoke vents keep it darker than originals. Love the feature of pushing the power bottom turns the fan off and closes the lid at the same time.

We unfortunately had to replace our skylight/fan in our trailer after a tree branch tore off the one we had. We decided to upgrade and get this one. We’re so glad we did!! We love the rain sensor feature. We leave our vent open all the time and it’s nice to know that the rain sensor will close the vent if we are not in our travel trailer. It also has a remote to open and close the vent as well. The unit was pretty easy to install. The directions/videos were very easy to understand and do. There is also a slight tint to the skylight which helps with UV rays. Overall, we are very happy with our unit in our travel trailer.

Save yourself so time and headache bench test it first! Operator Assembly for the lid is really cheaply made didn't work at all vent lid, would just jump. I replaced the lid Operator Assembly now on the controls up is down and down is up. I reversed polarity on the lid motor to fix that What should have been an hour to install turned in to 3 hours. It was poorly packed, nothing to protect the fan in shipping just a soft wrap to keep it from being scratched up. I have installed a few hundred of these, so I don't think that's the problem. Once finished fan did work and dose have a clean modern look, but pretty don't count for much when the fan doesn't work.

Been installed for about a month now. So far I am very pleased. Quiet, moves a lot of air (unlike the old one), installed easy. Like the multiple fan speeds as normally one 1 or 2 works for most of the time, but higher speeds to cool down our RV.

I am writing this one day after I finished the installation. The roof vent arrived in a slightly damaged box. Looks like the damaged box was used to ship it. Not a great confidence builder, but the vent appeared undamaged. Installation instructions are useless. After removing the existing (damaged) vent, the new vent slid right in. I had tried the functions before attempting to install it, and everything worked fine. The inside cover was way too deep, and I had to modify it to fit. The new vent works fine so far (rain sensor not tested yet), and the fan is pretty quiet up to 50% max speed, after that it becomes noticeably louder. The electric lift of the cover works fine. The remote connected at the first try and also works as expected. Overall I am quite satisfied with the quality and performance of the vent, but as I said, it’s been installed for one day, and time will tell.

This fan is awesome. Lots of speed adjustments, reversible, and with the remote it can be operated by anyone, no more standing on the toilet for the kids! Installation was straight forward, there are several YouTube videos that walk you through the process start to finish. Take you time and use butal tape and dicor and you’ll be just fine.

To date, installed and tested. Based on replacement. The wiring was shorter than expected, but reached. The "bottom housing" was too deep/high. This was an RV replacement and the housing was a couple of inches too deep. Fortunately, it fit perfectly with the existing housing. Since installation, the unit has performed to expectations. The rain sensor responds with the slightest precipitation, excellent for where I reside. And I think maybe the best investment I have made on my RV. It is a plastic housing, so I have my doubts about longevity, but for the quality that I usually get, this one gets a definite thumbs up..... so far.

I purchased 2 of these fans for our 5th wheel trailer.
