Does it come with a charging cord?

Because it was designed for professional shops and garages, the DSR165 does not come with a charging cord. Instead, it has been designed to use any 18-gauge (or larger) extension cord, which plugs into the charging port on the side of the unit.

How do I charge the DSR165?

To charge, connect any 18-gauge (or larger) extension cord (not included) to the charging port on the side of the jump starter and plug the extension cord into a 120V AC outlet.

How do I maintain the internal battery unit?

Charge immediately after purchase, after each use, and every 30 days to keep the battery healthy and extend the lifespan of the unit.

How do I use the 12V DC or USB port to power a device?

With the device off, plug the 12V DC device into the DC power outlet. Then turn on the 12V DC device (if required). To use the USB port, press the USB button and plug the device into the USB port. Then, turn the USB device on.

Can the internal battery be replaced?

The DSR165 is not designed to be serviceable by the consumer. Please contact Schumacher Electric for service or take it to a qualified service person if it is in need of repair.
