It works and looks great
I bought this for a friend of mine (he is kinda old doesn't have an Amazon account , lol ). His boat was missing a seat, so we bought a new seat and this pedestal. It actually aligned up with his factory holes and the seat slid right on. Looks great and was hundreds of dollars cheaper than buying one from Sea Ray.

Works and feels solid but squeaks substantially under load
We restore boats as a part time job. We've used a dozen or so brands of boat seats and pedestals. These feel more solid than some and don't slide down over time (an issue we have seen). However there is a strange squeak/creak when you lean in one direction. I've tried adjusting all the settings but nothing changes. We bought two of these pedestals and both have the same issue. Happens at all height settings. Hoping the noise goes away or we find a workaround. Not a dealbreaker as of yet but would like to find a fix.
