These brushes are beautiflly made and changed the way I paint in watercolor. I usualy stick to Synthetic Taklon brushes because they perform consistently, are affrodable, and last a long time before showing signs of wear. These Lightwish brushes use synthetic bristles that are extremely soft and have less bounce than my usual brushes. it took a little getting used to but once I did I fell in love with these brushes. they also hold tons of water or paint in the bristles. The volume they hold is actually pretty amazing. I bought this smaller set to try it out, but I think I will buy the larger set soon. For someone like me that doesnt paint professionally and cannot justify the high cost of professional grade brushes with natural hair bristles, these are a very good and affordable alternative.

This was an inexpensive set of brushes that hold their tips pretty well. The sizing of brushes means nothing, as there is no industry standard. I've found a use for all of these and haven't been disappointed.- I'm a beginner - maybe advanced beginner.

I watched a YouTube video where these were recommended and they are ok but not as good as my fuumuui brushes and they don’t have my favorite dagger brush. They do keep their shape well and snap back well so they are much better than cheap watercolor brushes but not my best I’d range priced ones

I really like these brushes! I’m just learning how to watercolor so I’m still very much a beginner - but these brushes hold are quite good for students learning! They hold a lot of water and the tips are good for detail work. They also look and feel really nice. I would definitely recommend! FYI - although the listing says Lightwish, the brand on it says Phoenix. I believe they are both companies under the same larger brand.

Great, high quality, durable brushes for this price point. They do retain shape after use. Compared to the regular round and flat brushes I used before, I've found this set really helpful for learning things like how to "load" a brush," how to guide water, and other technical aspects of painting. Highly recommend.

Excellent watercolor brush set, hold their shape, perfect sizes, and not overly priced. Saw them used by a water colorist on u tube and they are all that she said they were.

The Lightwish brushes and the Phoenix brushes are identical looking at the pictures of them. When I first started researching this type brush I looked at the Lightwish website. There I saw the Phoenix set of four brushes sizes 0,2,4 and 6 but purchased them on Amazon, about $22 for the set. My main complaint is one side of the brush under the heavy plastic sleeve the metal wires cross and are very rough. I keep snagging my fingers on them. These are not expensive brushes. A synthetic quill brush by a well known company will cost at least $30 for a tiny size brush. These are for beginners or someone that just wants to get the feel of a quill brush. They are not a mop brush. A mop brush does not have the metal going around the end of the brush and a hard plastic covering over them. Look up Princeton mop brushes and you will see the different in how a quill and mop are made. These are machine made, have to be for the price. I think I saw the Lightwish description say these brushes are hand made. Oh please, for this price and a person is going to sit and make these brushes by hand, no machine involved for a 8 hour work day!! Just buy these and play with them. As you gain more experience in your art journey, buy a good brand and use these for junk painting. I have been painting with watercolors 30 plus years...I know stuff!

Ich habe diese Pinsel für meinen Mann bestellt, da er sich an Japanischer Tuschemalerei ausprobieren wollte. Er ist sehr begeistert. Sie eignen sich sowohl zum malen als auch für Kalligrafie und haaren auch absolut nicht, was perfekt ist, weil man sonst schnell die Lust am malen verliert. Die Pinsel kamen in kleinen Plastikröhrchen gut verpackt an. Wenn die Pinsel richtig durchgetrocknet sind, packt er sie auch wieder in die Röhrchen damit sie weiterhin gut geschützt sind. Das Wasser/die Tinte können sie sehr gut und lange halten. Ich denke, dass auch fortgeschrittene Künstler damit viel anfangen können. Für den Preis sind sie aber auf jeden Fall für Anfänger perfekt!

These brushes have been amazing so far. Soft, supple, hold a lot of water. Will update further if I find they lose bristles, but so far so happy with this purchase.
