Takes little to no effort. works very well. Leaves smooth cut. Didn't even need to file the nails afterward. Rotating head is excellent feature as I have a deformed fingure from an accident. Can't saay enough good about these clippers.

I have carpal tunnel and arthritis, especially in my left hand. I was doing okay using my right hand to clip the nails on my left hand, but I couldn't manage to use the clippers with my left hand to trim the nails on my right hand. I decided to take a risk and buy these clippers (the black ones) before I asked my mom to cut my fingernails for me. This was important to me because I'm disabled and already have to rely on other people to do so much for me. I really hate to lose any little bit of independance I still have. These clippers are amazing. I can manipulate the rotating clipper part easily, and snip away even more easily, so now I can trim all of my own fingernails. There's even a small file built in, which makes things easy for filing a sharp edge or two (although I still prefer my larger file for major filing jobs). I've reccommended these clippers to people I know who need them, and I reccommend them to you, too. They're big, but easily the best clippers I've ever used.

Excellent clippers, very easy to use for seniors

I (post stroke)opted to open these at physical therapy in case I needed tips and tricks from my therapist And I did it I started using them in front of her and I had no problem with either hand cutting either hand you can fold your fingers or straighten your fingers. You’ll figure it out simple to use VERY SHARP very easy to press down on. (bE CAREFUL) I read all the reviews for all the other units and decided this was the best one and I’m very pleased for the money. pERFECT CONCEPT!

Just got these, but they feel solid and work very efficiently. I am battling loss of function due to erosive osteoarthritis and have very little grip strength, as well as loss of fine motor skills. Gripping and operating regular size nail clippers is nearly impossible these days. These clippers make easy work of it, even for these old hands. Definitely handy. (Pun intended!)

These are excellent.Usually use scissors but couldn't quite get the angle to cut straight across my toenail.I saw these and it's just what I was looking for.Great quality,easy tomuse and very sharp,would cut any thick nails,I'm sure of it.Jaw opens to accommodate even the thickest nails,or you could sort of "nibble" away with the jaws until you could cut them cleanly.These are good value for money and pleased with my purchase.
