Hanes Girls' Comfort, Period. Boys'hort & Hipster Period Underwear, Moderate Protection, Multi-Pack

We started buying these panties a couple years ago for my daughter to wear to school as a precaution. She found them comfortable & soon prefered them over other types of protection. She usually just wears these now, especially to bed. They are perfect for young girls who are just starting out bc they're comfortable, easy to use & non-invasive. They won't have to worry about leaks, being embarrassed, carrying/hiding things, or when & where to change at school or in public. They're also great for those days of uncertainty when you know it's coming, but obviously want to avoid an unexpected accident. With these you're always prepared without having to wear the other uncomfortable items unnecessarily. We have found them to fit similarly to the regular Hanes girls' bikini undies & she wears the same size in both. Even on heavier days, a fresh pair can last at least 8 hours, or overnight without issue. I usually rinse them in hot water before machine washing normally by themselves. How long they last will vary, but you'll definitely know when it's time to replace them. When you find them for the right price on Amazon, these are a much better value for the money than most similar brands. We have paid the same for one pair of other brands as we pay for 3 pair of these. Overall, we highly recommend these for anyone wanting reliable, worry-free protection, or who doesn't like using the other available options. I only wish they had them when I was young!

Good for girls in school that don’t know when they will start their monthlies. My daughter enjoyed these because they were a lot like regular underwear. They rescued her a couple of times from school spoiled. They definitely get it done for the lighter days. If the user has heavy flow, they will want to get the heavy duty ones for one of the companies making them. These are a great inexpensive back upfor little girls and also economical. If my girl came home with one soil, it lasted for the entire day which I was not expecting out of a pair of Hanes!

I'm 5'2 and 110 lbs and normally wear a Sz 0 in Women or Sz 3 in Jr's (Sz small in womens underwear). I'm actually in peri-menopause and dealing with incredibly heavy periods so I thought I'd buy these as a back up to wear with my Super Plus tampon and pad. I really hope these shrink a size - they aren't snug at all. I've had 2 babies so while I'm thin, I do have hips but I prob should have bought sz 14 - just wanted to write this review to help others with sizing. I'll update with how they shrink and if they actually work to prevent leaks. These don't shrink at all -- I have no idea what others are talking about when they say these shrink after washing/drying (please give me some tips so I don't have to throw these away....). The Sz 16 hipster is so big that it practically reaches the small of my back. If you or your daughter is a thin sz 3 (not stick rail skinny but just a regular Sz 3) in Juniors, stick with the Sz 14. If you or your daughter has rounded hips and butt, you *might* get away with a Sz 16. These fit around the same as Women's SZ Med underwear if not a bit larger. I wore these as a backup with my Super+ Playtex Sport tampon and I was leaking for well over an hour before I could get to a bathroom. Underwear absorbed it all, pants were fine but I would only trust these with a pad and/or tampon for medium or heavy flow.
