A WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES FOR THIS WELL-MADE, INTELLIGENT-LOOKING MALE KEN DOLL
A truly wonderful doll from Mattel. We have named #219 Kotaro (little Kota in Japanese) because he is not as tall as the classic Ken dolls and he is not as muscular. Mattel calls him 'slender' but we call him 'lean'. He has dark straight moulded hair with a fringe (bangs) that touch his thick eyebrows. His dark, intelligent eyes are wide-set, he has high cheekbones, a strong nose and full mouth shaped into a gentle smile. His arms move back and forth and up and down. His legs just move back and forth. This doll has a nice weight in the hand. He is not flimsy! His clothes are a cotton-feel fabric with a little bit of stretch. The top has an invisible Velcro back and his shorts are elasticated for easy clothes changes. He also has white 'sand' shoes. And, he can balance upright with or without them! Our 'Kotaro' might be a cinematographer, filming movies all over the world. He may dream of becoming a director like his heroes Akira Kurosawa, David Lean, Nic Roeg and Danny Boyle. He may marry our curvy Barbie with a Philippines look (#231) and they may have children from the Chelsea Club range, perhaps a little boy with a big smile and dark side-swept fringe (Koji JJB36) and a little girl in a watermelon-themed dress (GHV71) - all from Mattel and on Amazon. There are so many wonderful storylines in Kotaro's future. We are so happy to have him with us.

Bought this for my daughter as she wanted a second Ken and i right it'd be nice to have some variety from standard Ken. She was a bit unsure at first, as looks very different to typical Ken, but says she likes it
