Biscuit's Neighborhood: A Box of 5 Stories for Beginning Readers and Dog Lovers (My First I Can Read)

Oh, the adventures I've had with that delightful little puppy! This collection of five stories is perfect for young readers, offering simple sentences and charming illustrations that make reading a joy. The sturdy box with a handle and Velcro closure is a nice touch, making it easy to take these tales on the go. However, I did notice that the pages are a bit thin, so they might not withstand overly enthusiastic page-turning from tiny hands. But overall, this set is a fantastic way to introduce children to the joys of reading.​

Bought these books almost two years ago and they are still a hit! Listening to my kids say, "woof woof" is so cute! Great set for beginning readers through end of first grade! Worth the investment for sure!

Good for toddlers. My daughter loves these books!

My 2 year old grandson is extremely bright. He loves books. He knows all all the letters and sounds, and can " read" books to us. Biscuit books are now his favorite books. We have read the books in the box many times, and have bought many more. At the end of each book, is a picture of many of the Biscuit books. We always look to see which ones we don't have, and write them down. Biscuit books have really helped to increase Ollie's love of letters and reading and books.

These books are great for beginner readers, who are just beginning to sound out words. It does have some sight words, so your child is going to have to memorize them. But I do think it is helpful for teaching your child to read.

I bough these last week, our 4 year old can read them on his own, he gets stuck on maybe 2-3 words per book. Going to be ordering the next level soon! Highly recommend.

Nice books for a beginning reader. I recommend ordering the stuffed dog, Biscuit, to go with the books. It is quite nice too.

Illustrations are very nice and the story is simple. About a girl, her dog, and their silly antics. Not a book series to learn lessons from but you can easily talk about what's going on each of the pages in more detail. Have your child identify certain things and ask about what's happening in the scene before you read it.

Great books for toddlers and "learning to read". Vibrant pictures and each book is a perfect length for bed time stories. These books are a must have,

I have not yet read all of these books but look forward to testing them out on the appropriate age group that will be the real proof of their usefulness. They are well got up and well illustrated.
