Reliable smart plug with accurate energy monitoring + Matter support โ ๐
Iโve been using the Tapo P110M for a few weeks to monitor a couple of appliances (a heater and a coffee machine), and itโs been excellent. Setup was quick in the Tapo app, and the plug has stayed connected without random dropouts. What I like โ โข Energy monitoring is genuinely useful: you can see real-time power draw and track usage over time โก๐โข Matter certified makes it easier to integrate with different smart home setups (nice for future-proofing) ๐โข Remote on/off control is fast and reliable in the app ๐ฑโข Works well with Alexa and Google voice control ๐ฃ๏ธโข Away mode is handy for turning lights on/off automatically when youโre not home ๐ชโจโข Compact design doesnโt block neighboring sockets (in most outlets)What could be better โ ๏ธโข Energy data is great, but youโll still need to spend a little time learning the app graphs if you want detailed trackingโข If your wall outlets are very tight or crowded, placement can still be a bit tricky (depends on socket style)Bottom line: A solid smart plug that does more than basic on/offโenergy monitoring + Matter support makes it a smart buy for anyone building a reliable smart home setup ๐โกRating: โญโญโญโญโญ

Great Smart Plug โ Easy Setup and Works Flawlessly
Origally bought to turn our Christmas lights on at a certain time weโve now got several Tapo devices in our home, including cameras and this Tapo P110M smart plug, and theyโve all been fantastic. The plug was very easy to set up and the Tapo app is intuitive and simple to use. We use it mainly for turning lamps on in the morning and it works exactly as expected. The smart plug integrates seamlessly with our other Tapo devices, and scheduling routines in the app makes automating lights effortless. The build quality feels solid, and the compact design doesnโt block the other socket on a standard UK outlet. If youโre already using Tapo products or want a straightforward smart plug that just works, this is a reliable and cost-effective choice.

Great smart plug, but check the current rating before use on high-draw appliances
I now have three of these after being impressed enough with the first to buy two more, all within the past six months.I initially used one to monitor energy consumption on a gaming PC, but it tripped the current limit a couple of times so I'd advise caution with high-draw appliances. I now use them on lamps and smaller appliances where they work without issue. Worth checking your device's power draw against the plug's rated limit before committing. On the positive side, the energy monitoring is genuinely useful and the app is well designed and reliable. I've also integrated them with Home Assistant and the experience has been seamless, which isn't always the case with smart home devices. For lamps, smaller appliances and energy monitoring, these are excellent. Just be mindful of the current limit if you're planning to use them on something more demanding.

Easy to control Christmas lights, etc.
Works very reliably on my Home Assiatant setup and directly through the Tapo app. Setup was easy and straightforward when connecting to the Tapo servers, but I was unable to connect it to my smart home system through Matter. It was very responsive to commands when controlled through both the app and HA.The power monitoring was incredibly heplful to understand how much power was being used and calculate the cost. I bought it specifically to control Christmas lights, but will probably use it somewhere else in the house for the rest of the year to understand power usage.

You'll likely consider this review a shameless plug.
I love Tapo, and in an odd way, I don't know how I ever got by without this plug. I'm using it to turn my air conditioner on and off when I'm not at home so that the master bedroom remains cool without running it constantly (I plan to pair it with a humidity/temperature sensor for greater accuracy). In any case, there are so many applications for these plugs, and they don't just turn your devices on and off (although how cool is that?!). They can keep track of energy usage, and if you add your kWh data, it will give you a full cost breakdown too. You can pair it with a smart switch, create schedules, add timers, and smart actions, and err...did I mention that you can turn them on and off remotely? I do plan to buy more, and I highly recommend both this plug, and the full Tapo range of smart products for that matter. They're really easy to setup, and the app is fantastic. I can't say enough good things about them.

the real deal works with HomeKit as matters enabled
if you want to automate your home and are looking for affordable and futuristic system then go no further then tapo stuff. they have a large eco system and all at an affordable price. I have hue plugs and they are actually dumb plugs. these are really smart plugs. the hue bulbs are nicer then tapo bulbs . so you need to decide what to buy. there is someone who makes disability videos and he has a video about hue vs tapo vs wiz systems. watch that video and you will realise what you are missing on .read last 2 chapters of review for this items integration . the rest is for something elsethis company builds some of the best lights surpassing even Philips hue stuff.and they usually price it around ยฃ10 / piece. wish they did some wifi matters integration in to their bulbs. have a bunch of their bulbs and never regretted buying their stuff.there is science behind their bulbs. well they might as well not know it . let me explainthere is hardly any sunshine here in uk. ever heard of scanadanivian countries having the highest rate of suicide. Greenland/iceland etc. well had it occurred to you that it might be linked to the gloomy atmosphere year round .well here comes the good news. the 5000k and 6000k bulbs are designed to mimic sunlight indoors and they are bright. trust me when I say it will light up your home and light it up good.the bulbs have anti flicker tech which means when you snap pics with these bulbs on you video film wouldn't have flickers in them. it means the frequency that these bulbs work is not irritating for humans and animals I think.when the human brain gets its fair share of sunlight it is less prone to depression. so to cure depression buy the 5000k or 6000k lights. they are literal life savers. you will see mood improving inside your homes once you have these installed. they will bring indirect happiness . I use Philips hue smart plugs connected to lams with these bulbs and use a sensor to detect my presence in the room to automatically turn on and off the lights. you can literally buy any smart plug which also has infrared sensor like tp link tapo smart plugs . best to buy matters certified smart plugs from tapo. the p110m version is good and ยฃ10er each. the sensor will light up the lamps and shut them off when it stops detecting presence in the room . this way you end up with automatic lights in your living room.I used 3 of these 30w bulbs in each bedroom . changed to Philips hue . you need around 4500 lumen in a bedroom to cure depression and around double that in a living room . this is for a house that is pure white inside paint. if dark coloured paints then the lumen requirement goes up of 50%. best to buy white furniture and curtains to keep sense of the space being open and large.

Working as described.
Used for monitoring energy consumption of chest freezer. So in my case is permanent ON (just in case I set switching ON every day at 00:00hrs).Power/energy monitor refresh rate is low (I believe each 5 minutes). Not sure if is a Tapo app or device limitation. But is recording data and can see the day/week/month trends.
