Bought for my son. He likes it but he said he can do without. I think it works perfectly fine just he thought he’d use it more than he does.

I use this for carp fishing is very sensitive if wind is blowing it will trigger wich I found annoying.in a calm day good alarms

So I've recently got into cat fishing again and so I'm doing a fair bit of my fishing at night. So having some bite alarms are really helpful. I've purchased some budget priced alarms like these last year off Amazon and they were truly awful and broke after a couple uses. I hate to say these aren't much better than those. The zipper on the bag broke immediately so I can never zip it up now. The plastic on the arms are quite cheap and thin. The alarm is nice and loud and having the LED lights is also great to have at night because I like to listen to music with my headphones when fishing so having the visible alarm with the lights has been great! A couple things to keep in mind. You are going to need 9v batteries, which was an odd choice in my opinion. They say the bag is waterproof but it's just a canvas bag so I'm not sure how that's watertight. Speaking of water, don't drop these alarms in the water! There is no seal on the battery compartment so if water hits it, it's history.

Works well and loud alarm sound when fish bites. I can leave my fishing pole side without holding on to it to know if the fish bites. I use multiple poles when I go fishing, and this alert system save me from having clumsy bell on the end of the fishing rod, which can come off when real in or casting. Very good for away from site fishing.

I am not a pro angler and just starting to put my fishing gear and accessories together. I don't really know what to look for in these bite alarms, but I like that this might help not miss bites. I will mostly be leisure fishing off the lake bank or from my kayak in streams. I want to just fish to get enough to fix my dinner and fill my belly. Keep batteries on hand for these alarms. I have always used bells while fishing at night. I've never been confident in them for fear of cutting my line. Normally after a hook set, I would have to remove the bell from the rod. I do about 50% bank and 50% pier fishing. So it would be nice if there was a way to attach to a fishing pier. It's not advertised as using on a pier, so can't complain. It does accept one 9v battery for each. The batteries last a long time, so batteries don't bother me.
