Science Of Light, Vol.2

This book presents a lot of information in a very structured manner, covering some of the key foundation knowledge in Jyotir. I have been reading through several information sources, and a lot of the book that I came across, the material appears a bit unstructured. So this was to my reading style.

Excellent book on vedic astrology. Start with book 1, which is awesome, and then continue with this one. Freedom Cole’s gift is being able to bring structure and organization to such a vast and complex topic. Concepts are explained well, and in a very clear way. The order of when things are introduced is also well thought out. I’ve been super happy with these books and feel like I’m getting a thorough learning through them. Definitely recommend.

Freedom Cole has a gift for explaining the vastly complex and infinite subject of Jyotish astrology in a way that is clear, concise and engaging. I have many books on Jyotish, by several reputed authors, but keep on returning to study my copies of The Science of Light, Volume I; and now, happily I have Volume II which is full of fascinating, informative and workable knowledge. The author has a most sensible way of organizing chapters and layering the information in a way that is digestible, and has created practical learning exercises at the end of the chapters. These books are an invaluable resource on the subject of Jyotish/ Vedic Astrology.

I have had the privilege of studying under Freedom for the last 2 years and his Books are like gold mines. You need to read his material and listen to his videos several times to really get all he has to say. I am 50 years old and have read a lot of Astrology in my time and recently have surrendered to Pandit Rath and his lineage vis a vis Freedom Cole- Visti larsen etc. If you love Astrology you have got to buy his books- enroll in his online courses and spend 2 years of your life immersed in his teaching. Thank you Freedom. You are the best.

This book, like the first is chock full of things from his parampara that you won't find in any other Jyotish book. Like I ran the order of how to find out the conception chart on my daughter and it worked like magic. My jaw kind of dropped. Anyways, if you have some Jyotish background, I'd actually start with this book first possibly as he gets into philosophy a bit more and bigger picture things - or just cut to the chase and get both. Also check out Visti Larsen's book, another student of their teacher, Sanjay Rath, as they make his teachings accessible to the rest of the world.

As a follow up to Freedom's first book, this is another excellent resource for any jyotishi interested in a more in depth understanding of Vedic knowledge, astronomy, psychology, mantras, sutras and more. Freedom is one of my favorite jyotish resources and he has a wonderful way of sharing Jaimini jyotish from Pundit Sanjay Rath's lineage that makes it more accessible. I highly recommend this book for those wanting deeper awareness and insights about jyotish.

Freedom has done a fine job of opening more advanced concept to readers while maintaining clear explanations and an easy writing style. Naturally the more doors his information opens, the greater the desire to learn.Phyllis Chubb, Jyotish Kovid CVA
