My Glasses are 5.6 inches wide. Will these fit ?

I can not say yes with certainty, however Tinhao indicates that their design will accommodate frame width of 5.4 inches. My glasses are 5 & 1/2" (5.5 inches) wide and the fit is comfortable. If my math is correct 5.6" is about 5 & 5/8" - so I think you could fit these sunglasses over your frames. The quality of this set is such that I think they are worth a try, especially in consideration of the generous Amazon return policy. (Save all packaging and product inserts).

What category of lenses are these? Category 3? 4?

I do not know the answer, but my husband has several pairs of wear-over sunglasses of which one is this. He finds them very useful especially for driving during the day. He had cataract surgery years ago and things did not go as planned, so he permanently wears prescription glasses.

What is the VLT (visible light transmission) rating of these?

While I do not know of a scientifically developed number I can say that they are quite dark and they are polarized. I really like them.

My glasses have pretty thick lenses. Any suggestions on size?

I would suspect that these would fit over thick glasses. It would be more likely that the frame size would interfere more than anything. I have standard sized glasses and there is no problem with them. The depth of the lens should not interfere. Hopefully this helps!
