Cambridge International AS and A Level Chemistry Coursebook with CD-ROM (Cambridge International Examinations)

I bought this book for my daughter for her OCR chemistry A for 2019,eventhough it’s for international A level Cambridge exam,but it’s the same exam board ,OCR and international Cambridge ,I read both curuculai ,and they are the same. This book is written in a better manner than her core text used in her school ,plus I bought her another text book called chemistry in context,so she can select the writing style she is most comfortable with .Please check the syllabus yourself before you buy this book,just don’t take my word for it. I have read the syllabus and found it covers the entire syllabus for 2019 OCR chemistry A. This book is well illustrated with lots of worked examples,makes a pleasant reading,and it is a text that makes you love chemistry and explains the subject in a very delicate and straight forward manner. If I had time,I would personally read it to refresh my chemistry knowledge but for now I will leave my daughter to enjoy the book.just fantastic text book,written with extreme care and love for the subject .

I've been teaching the Cambridge International Examination A-Level certification for almost a year now, and wish I'd had this book as support material the day I started the course.It's clearly laid out, accessible by English as second language learners (if handled correctly) and, most importantly, covers the entire syllabus in one handy volume (so you aren't going to end up rooting round in a bunch of different places to find the basic content).In short, buy this book, you can't go far wrong with it if you're teaching the CIE A-Level Chemistry course.

Very well written, good summary exercises, and a logical and thorough arrangment of chapters. definitely recommend it as a course book throughout the two years of a level study.

I like the attractive way in which it presents information containing spots of pictures and fact files.
