Bright and versetile
I'm just a home mechanic but do more than average repair tasks and love this light! I use it mostly in high and most recently used it to replace the lift pump on an older Dodge diesel. It ran for 6 hrs straight! Magnet is strong enough to hold it in any position and the light output is amazing! Lightweight too... It's my go-to light for all my repair work now. I do turn it off when I know I'm going to be away for a few minutes, and also plug it in to recharge as much as possible... After all, it is battery powered! Overall a really good light! Much better than the old incandescent or flourescent that always needed an extension cord... As far as I'm concerned, those days are long gone! I'd buy another in a heartbeat! Update 4 years later: light is still amazing and I’ve used it pretty regularly and hard! But what I’ve noticed is that it seems like the battery is reaching the end of its practical lifespan. It comes on at full brightness but tends to shut itself off after about 30 minutes use. It turns back on without issue, but continues to shut itself off after a short time. And the battery is not replaceable. That being said, this light served me very well and a 4 year battery lifespan isn’t bad in my book for something I’ve used so much. I will definitely be purchasing another in the not too distant future! :-)

Great flexible design
I really like rechargeable LED work lights. But they can be expensive, and designs have evolved, some for the better, some not. Some issues I've had -switches that are hard to press, hooks that don't work well, cases that break easily. This light is small, rugged, and bright, it has a simple (albeit small) rocker switch which toggles through the 3 brightness settings. The battery life is good. The hook at the top pivots and folds so you can point the light where you want it, and the magnet on the side works well in a number of places working in and under cars. The USB charger is a great change from older chargers, as it the light can be charged from my other chargers, in the car, etc. I've had it for 9 months at this point, and it's a winner in my book. Update - 4 years in, still working great. Had to glue the sleeve to the light as it was slipping off, but everything else is going strong. Good battery life, bright, hard to beat.

Hands down the best work light I’ve found.
This is the best portable work light that I have found. I own the previous version (model# 40464A) and decided to get another one to keep in my truck for emergencies. While going to order another I noticed this newer version and ordered it instead. This light has the same exact construction as the previous model, however there are some very nice upgrades. First off, it is noticably brighter on its high setting and seems to provide a more spread out “flood” style light. The new power switch looks similar to the old version but has a spring return; each time you click it to the on position it goes to the next mode which are as follows: high, medium, low and off. One of the biggest improvements over the previous model is the different style charging port which is the same as most modern phones use (micro USB) allowing for the light to be charged on the go in your vehicle if you have an existing USB phone charger. The charging indicators have been moved to the light itself on the same board as the main light and are easily visible in daylight. In short, this is just an improved version of the previous model that everyone loves and has the same durable construction. The magnet mount is great for sticking it places where there is no place to hang a normal work light and it wont scratch paint because it has a soft surface over the magnet base.

Even when used on lowest setting, this is still bright enough for many under-vehicle jobs.
I have the version with 3 lighted settings. I have to say that I was hesitant to order this cordless light, as it was priced in line with a corded version of the fluorescent-type I've used for many years. I've never before used anything without a cord for automotive tasks, and it took no time at all to appreciate the overall advantages of this type in many cases. Its slimmer cross section can squeeze in closer to illuminate places my corded light will not quite make it into. The magnets ARE strong enough to hold the light in position much of the time (if a reasonably close, flat surface is available) but the thin plastic tape-like covering over the magnets wears quickly. Noting that, some people may encounter an issue when using the magnetic feature of this light as there is a strong possibility of scratching a delicate paint surface if positioned on such a surface. ESPECIALLY IF ONE WORKS IN AN AREA WITH RUST AND METAL SHAVINGS PREVALENT. I have mostly older cars where the paint finish is not my ONLY concern, yet I still found myself continually cleaning off the tiny bits of metal dust from grinding that aderes to the magnets, in order to prevent scratches in the clear coat. This is how I noticed how quickly the UNFORGIVING magnet covering was wearing. I still appreciate the utility of a corded version in some situations, such as when the magnets and hanging hook are not quite enough to position the light in a stable position, where a corded light can often create its own suspension points. I found the battery life to be quite good when using the light on its lowest setting-easily a standard work day's length. (Noting that I have reasonably good working light light levels from overhead residential garage strip-fluorescent lighting.) The most time consuming steady work I've used this for so far involved very close grinding for hours using a Moto Tool to first remove AND SAVE rusted on brake drums and then welding up the resultant grooves in the axle flanges and the followup grinding, during which I did not require more than the lowest setting. One last point in this light's favor. Although I have leady knocked it off its magnetically attached perch a few times, this light does not seem to be effected by hitting a hard surface-something that cannot alway be depended upon when using a fluorescent light and ESPECIALLY not when using an incandescant light source.

Sturdy and reliable
Very sturdy well built light. The 3 light settings are nice if I know it’s going to be on for an extended period of time so the battery lasts longer. Bought a second one after the first impressed me enough. They get used and abused every day for my job. Holding up well.

It did not last 11 hours more like 4 hours

Uses cheap unreliable components. Better shop lights out there for less money.
