Pleasantly surprised! The hat came in a box which saved it from getting crushed. It’s pretty well made and the sizing is just about right. My daughter is 10 years old and has a 21.5 inch head circumference. So the L/XL is a tad big but it comes with an elastic band so it doesn’t wobble too much on her head. She loves love her straw cowboy hat because it’s just like her Daddy’s cowboy hat. This hat is in the traditional rancher style and has a nice straw color to it. I observed no noticeable defects when I looked it over. The braiding around the hat is simple and not over done like some drugstore cowboy hats. The hat has the right amount of stiffness and holds its shape well. Plus, it’s inexpensive so if it does get damaged by rough handling, it’s not the end of the world. Definitely recommend for your little cowboys or cowgirls.

It’s always hard to know exactly what you’ll get. Thankfully this is a high quality hat. I was complimented on how it looks the first day I wore it.

The hat was great as far as the quality of it goes. It just fits a lot smaller tighter than expected. If you've got a melon like i do, I'd recommend finding one with bigger measurements. lol

Definitely like the hat, however the wrong size was sent. After a little modification, I have made it work. Not looking for a replacement, but please confirm on the next order to validate the correct size is being sent. I will order again.

First the positive, its a sturdy hat, very sturdy. Its like they said, it feels like a plastic toy hat. It does not stain easy because it has a protective coating.Now the negative. We asked for a small and got a large. It did not fit well at all due to the size. But from what we can tell, since its very hard, it wont mold to your head. The elastic band does very little to create comfort since the rim for the head is solid, so an odd shaped head might have issues. Because its very hard, I am sure that a bad drop or if you sit on it by accident, you will crack the hat and there is no fixing that as far as I can see. I think if it was cheaper it would be ok for one time uses or as a party favor, but for actual wearing it to go out or for work, get the real thing.

Omg! So happy I bought this! I wear lots of thick hair extensions and I have a pretty large head for a girlie girl! The L/XL fit me absolutely perfectly!, came down on my forehead and hit he back just right! I almost never write reviews but I had to give this hat props!! The hat is very high quality and is very flattering & super comfortable! Worth every penny! I can’t wait to wear it to the rodeo this year & on many other occasions! Yee haw!

I like the type of material and how it fit on my head.

I was skeptical after reading the reviews, many said theirs looked cheap, it was delivered damaged, looks like a plastic party hat, etc.But next to my husband’s George Straight hat, the sheen is the same. The material doesn’t look that far off from the straw on his, which was well over $160.00.And it was delivered in mint condition…Good bang for my buck. Will be used at Stagecoach after a little sprucing up and well worth the price paid on Amazon.Got the white. It is the perfect shade of white. Not off, but white.
