Quality, easy to use, amazing results
Unbelievably easy to get a factory sharp edge. Heck, it might be better than the factory edge as you can chose your angle. I have had a Lansky kit for 20 years. It is adequate for the price but this sharpener exceeds it in every way. Of course itโs way more expensive but here are the pros of this kit: solid, well built. The thing has heft and that is a good thing. Mostly metal construction which is not going to wear out. Precision angle to blade home placement, blade rotates so you can do both shifts without dismantling anything. Pretty foolproof execution. I love it. I put a crazy sharp edge on an old kitchen aid cheap butcher knife that I use for rougher applications and that thing can shave my arm hair off now. I have a lot of high end pocket knives and a few knife kitchen knives. I have only had this for 24 hours but have already sharpened 5 knives. Cons: you really need a case, the box that it comes with is adequate for awhile but is not a permanent storage solution.

Fantastic system, though pretty expensive.
This is an outstanding knife sharpening system. At first, I was skeptical. Would live up to the price? I had previously purchased an earlier model from this brand and was disappointed with the results. It simply didnโt perform the way I expected, especially considering the cost. This system, however, is a completely different story. Itโs easily the biggest product upgrade Iโve ever seen from a brand. They clearly addressed the flaws of the previous model, because that one had quite a few, and refined everything. The result is a system that actually delivers. I can now sharpen both chefโs knives and pocket knives to a near perfect edge, and I can do it faster and more consistently than ever before. The small design details really stand out, everything feels intentional, ergonomic, and easy to use. If youโre wondering whether itโs worth the investment, hereโs the honest answer you can achieve a great edge with a traditional whetstone if you have the skill and patience. There are excellent Japanese stones out there at various price points. But systems in the $50 range, even decent ones, just donโt compare in terms of precision, consistency, and ease of use. This system removes a lot of the guesswork. From a practical standpoint, it will also save you time and money over the long run. Instead of sending knives out for sharpening, you can maintain them yourself. Personally, I do a light honing about once a month and a full sharpening every three months, with a heavier sharpening about once a year if needed. I keep everything at a consistent 25ยฐ angle just to simplify the process. For the first time ever, Iโve been able to sharpen a knife to the point where it can shave hair off my arm. That level of sharpness comes down to precision, especially maintaining a consistent angle, and this system makes that achievable. The biggest lesson Iโve learned over eight years of sharpening is this angle consistency is everything, and creating then fully removing a burr at every stage is critical. If you donโt remove the burr, the edge will fold over quickly and perform poorly, almost like the knife was never sharpened at all. This system makes that process much easier, especially during the finishing stages. As for downsides, the price is definitely high. Itโs an investment. But itโs also a durable system that should last a long time, especially since diamond and steel plates tend to hold up for years. I do hope replacement parts remain available, because the design itself is excellent and worth maintaining long term. You donโt need a system like this to get a sharp knife. But realistically, without it, I probably never would have reached the level of sharpness I can achieve now. Having truly sharp knives at home makes a huge difference, and this system made that possible for me. Also, the last time I had a professional knife sharpener guy come sharpen my knives he messed up about most of my knivesโฆ I think he had some type of disability or maybe he had some blindness, but he legitimately screwed up some very expensive knives of mine. If you want something done right you need to do it yourself sometimes and definitely donโt go cheap if you hire someone else to sharpen your expensive knives. Luckily I didnโt have him sharpen all of my knives, but some of these knives arenโt sold anymore. Theyโre not replaceable. I canโt find them online anywhere so it was quite the loss. But I learned my lesson. If youโre just starting out sharpening knives avoid practicing on expensive knives go out and buy a $50 Mercer 8 inch chef knife and practice on that. There are a lot of really good handmade Japanese sushi knives that you can find online that are super cool and unique for $250-$500. It comes with a story a photo of the knife maker they will have 4 to 5 generations of knife making in their family. I recommend going and finding a smaller website or a small business that specifically specializes in sourcing high-end Japanese chef knives I think those are the best you can get overall thereโs nobody that compares and passion and excellence like a Japanese chef knife. I typically donโt recommend buying chef knives that are in between that price point of $60 and $250. However QSP does have excellent chef knives on their website. They typically make pocket knives, but they also have a small knife shop that does handmade chef knives, and they are absolutely incredible. I highly recommend them. Iโm not a high fan of Shun, there are so many other fantastic options. They all tend to be brittle. Anyways: If youโre serious about sharpening, or just appreciate a properly sharp knife, I highly recommend this Work Sharp professional Knife Sharpening system!

This Is The Pro Sharpener You Want.
I'm a big EDC guy, especially when it comes to collecting premium fixed blade and folding pocket knives. But I'm not an expert knife sharpener. Not even close. I've never sharpened using anything other than an Orange Ninja three stage pull through sharpener. The WorkSharp Professional Precision Adjust kept getting high praise from all the knife guys I regularly watch on Youtube, and I really wanted to learn how to sharpen knives on a system capable of the sharpest results possible if used correctly. So I made the investment and picked one up. My very first work EDC was a Ruko 3.5" lockback. I recently found it again after losing track of it over 20 years ago. It didn't take long to get it looking and working like new, but the blade edge was so dull and badly folded over it wouldn't cut a worm. It was the perfect candidate for a noob's first sharpening attempt. After setting the sharpener up I didn't use it right away. I went full nerd mode and watched several hours of different tutorial videos on Youtube all week before I put my Ruko in the vice clamp and got started. I took my time and patiently worked my way through all 7 magnetic abrasive, honing and strop panels. As a lifelong musician, using the Worksharp felt a lot like playing an instrument. And the results are absolutely freaking astonishing. I honestly can't get over it. This $15 Ruko knife with a 440 stainless blade is now insanely scary ultra sharp. It clutches fingerprints as if it were sticky. Cuts paper into fine ribbons and effortlessly shaves the hair right off my arm. And the blade edge itself has this unreal shimmering mirrored finish that really pops and captures light. I've also sharpened two more, a Civivi Baklash and a 6" Buck 119 fixed blade hunting knife. Exact same icky sticky sharpness and mirrored edge finish. When the guys at work saw for themselves how insane sharp I got my knives, they brought in 4 more of their own for me to sharpen. This is the pro results sharpener you want. And definitely save the durable boxes and packaging trays it comes with, because they hold everything perfectly and makes a great case. Everything you need is included, and everything is built rock solid. The included digital angle reader is very precise and simple to use. WorkSharp put a lot of thought into this system and it shows. It's so easy to get better than factory edge results. You just have to be patient, don't rush it and take your time. The sharpening process is very enjoyable on this system, and the results are so rewarding. I also highly suggest you consider a magnifying glass lamp too. Being able to see the blade edge up close while working on it really improves results. The one pictured in my photo is made by Krstlv, comes with both a solid base and side of table vice clamp, multiple light brightness modes and light color modes. It's excellent for this purpose and is available on Amazon for under $40. Can't wait to sharpen my next knife! The Worksharp Professional Precision Adjust is an awesome product that's easy to use, and it consistently delivers X level sharpness. This WorkSharp gets my highest possible recommendation. I hope this review was helpful.

awesome knife sharpener.
I recently purchased the Work Sharp Knife Sharpener, intrigued by its promise of quick and effortless operation. I appreciate tools that simplify life without demanding too much effort. After extensive use, I am pleased to report that this sharpener lives up to its claims. Firstly, its speed and ease of use are commendable. The device is ingeniously designed to make the sharpening process as efficient as possible, saving valuable time. It's particularly adept at honing knives to a razor-sharp edge, a feature that any culinary enthusiast or professional would appreciate. However, there is an area that could benefit from improvement. The knife edge holder, while effective for larger blades, presents some challenges when sharpening knives at a 15-degree angle. This is a crucial aspect for those who prefer an ultra-sharp edge for precision cutting. The holder's design can obstruct the sharpening process for smaller or uniquely shaped blades. To address this, I suggest that Work Sharp considers offering a modified or aftermarket knife edge holder. Ideally, this would feature multiple clamps with a less obtrusive design. Such an enhancement would not only accommodate a wider variety of blade shapes but also enable users to consistently achieve a 15-degree angle on all their knives. This improvement would significantly elevate the sharpener's versatility, making it a more universally appealing tool. In conclusion, the Work Sharp Knife Sharpener is an excellent product, particularly for those who value ease and efficiency in their kitchen tools. With a minor modification to the knife edge holder, it could become an indispensable tool for both amateur and professional cooks alike.

Great system
I just recieved the unit today so take this as a preliminary review. If I encounter any issues I will update. The sharpener is packaged in 2 boxes. 1 for the main unit and one for the stones, clamp support, small blade holder, etc. It is well organized and I recommend keeping the accessories box to hold your stones and small blade attachment. It came with all of the parts and grits listed. Assembly (if you can call it that) was very intuitive and only takes a minute or 2. Clear instructions are provided. I had been using a cheap sharpener that works similar to this in general, but the worksharp has so many more features that make sharpening much easier and more effective. When you're sharpening longer knive thaunit tilts back allowing you to turn it without clamping the blade. This is an incredibly important feature as it allows you to keep a consistent angle throughout the sharpening process. This feature is especially important for kitchen knives which tend to be longer than pocket knives. The other feature that I like is the rotating arm which which sets exactly the same when you rotate. There is no guessing or measuring required to stay consistent. The blade clamp has rubber pads so your knife isn't scratched. The clamp is very secure and uses a wheel that you turn to tighten it. There is a support piece that goes below the clap to keep it from moving up and down as you sharpen. I HIGHLY recommend you use it. It's not mandatory, but it will make your edges more consistent. Imo it's a must. Changing the angle is really simple. The unit has degrees clearly marked and you turn a wheel to raise and lower the angle. It also comes with an electronic angle finder which has a cut out on the bottom to fit on the round arm that holds your stone slider. This makes it so much easier to use than a standard flat bottom angle finder. Really nice touch. I bought a laser edge finder here on amazon just to further simplify my life. If you want one just search for it here under laser edge finder. It was only 30 bucks and pretty simple way to find your edge angles accurately. To test the device I decided to use it on one of my Olde Forge carbon steel knives that was completely dull. I reprofiled the knife completely to 17 degrees. I started with the 220 grit plate and worked all the way up to 800, then the ceramic stone followed by the strip. The diamond stones are high quality and setting the initial edge angle took only a few minutes. I worked eeach side forming a burr before moving to a higher grit. If you are new to sharpening I must tell you that forming a burr is essential. I highly recommend you watch some videos on the subject before sharpening. I won't bore you with the entire process. I'll just say that one of the things that I appreciated was how easy it was to change the plates with the magnetic system. It's much easier than springs and clamps. The strip itself came preloaded with green compound that was very evenly distributed. I liked it a lot. After stropping was finished I had a very sharp knife easily capable of shaving arm hair. The edge is not a true mirror polish, but it's nice and shiney. This brings me to the next point What I wish was available from the company is higher grit stones. You can get a really nice edge with the 800 but you'll need more for a mirror polish if that's your thing. After market plates are out there however. Overall I'm really pleased with the product.

An Amazing Tool
I have bought some knife sharpeners in the past- some electric, grinding stones, and sharpening rods. So far I love this tool in that it enables you to sharpen at a specific angle. The angle calculator is battery powered and you always hit the same angle each time you make a pass. You end up with a sharp knife in a short time. I use this mainly for sharpening my kitchen knives since I do a lot of meal preparation from cutting up veggies to meats of various types. I love the practicality of this tool- it's simple and very effective. The instructions are easy to follow and if unsure you could always check videos from YouTube. This is a tool you're gonna have for a long time. It's well designed and the materials are well built with quality. It comes with angle recommendations depending on the type of knife you're trying to sharpen. I have sharpened my kitchen knives from short to long ones. I have also sharpened my clever that I use for chopping and cutting veggies.

Easy to use, works great on most knives.
Pros: Can put a wicked edge on a knife. So easy to use that it's fun. Nice solid construction. Doesn't need to be bench mounted. Cons: Proprietary sharpening plates. Really only worth the price if you have a lot of knives, or depend on your knives to be keenly sharp. Not recommended for scissors or non-standard edges, like on lawnmower blades or hedge clippers, machetes, etc. One thing I've noticed while trying to learn the science of sharpening is that the people who have really invested themselves in the hobby of collecting knives and keeping their edges keen take their stuff seriously. Those who have refined the science into an art seem to swear by a series of whetstones. I've tried my hand at them, but being able to steady the blade at a consistent angle through the grind is a knack which is not easy for my sometimes wobbly hands. And as someone who isn't a knife collector and has one good Wusthof, a Miyabi and a Henckel cleaver for the kitchen, and a pocket knife for the toolbox, I feel reluctant to even offer an opinion on sharpening techniques, with all the good ole boys who are whittling hair off their arms on YouTube. But bear with me, because I like a sharp knife and a well-designed product, which this is. My first experience with Work Sharp was with one of their belt sharpening systems, and I am still pretty impressed with that- it put a nice edge on my knives, and revitalized an old pair of my mother's scissors. I think that's actually a good deal, since you can apply it to garden tools and scissors, which this isn't well suited to. But this sharpening system is meant for knives alone, and it does its job exceptionally. An ample library of video tutorials exist to refine your technique, but one can start right out of the box after a one-page quick start guide. I began with a cheap stamped metal cleaver which had been hiding in the back of a drawer to get the hang of it, and despite my aforementioned dexterity issues, got some pretty satisfactory results. I loaded the Wusthof kitchen knife next, (a much harder steel,) set the angle at 25 and worked the blade until I could feel a burr, then flipped it to the opposite side, (a process made easy by the rotating clamp,) and repeated, working my way down the sharpening stones until I was down to the strop, with a bit of polishing compound. I then inspected the knife and out of habit got a wadded up towel to clean the dust off the blade. The edge was so sharp that it slid through the towel before I knew what was happening, and it continued into my thumb. Dear reader, I realize that I have mentioned my lack of dexterity earlier, but I'm not a complete klutz, nor am I an idiot. Nevertheless, I was bleeding from my own kitchen knife. From a very neatly formed slice through some of the thickest skin at the tip of my thumb. Consider that both a warning and an endorsement. One (heavily bandaged) thumb up!

Best sharpener I have used.
TL,DR: The best sharpener I have used. Easy to set up. Easy to use. Put razor sharp edges on two old knives, right out of the box. Performed fantastic. Only major issue was a little wiggle in the clamp. Main review: I just got my Precision Adjust Pro, today. Right out of the box, I can say the product seems well made. I like the fact the box contains divided compartments to store everything. While some form of blow molded case would be better, it would increase the price drastically. As for performance: My first two knives were 30 year old kitchen knives from a well known cutlery company. One has been used so much I wasn't sure it could be saved. The other was barely used but was never very sharp, even when brand new. I was able to easily put wicked-sharp edges on both knives. The system is absolutely easy to use, easy to set up, and performed mostly flawlessly. The digital angle indicator let me dial in the recommended edge for both knives. I am looking forward to years of use. I am not the best at hand sharpening. I can put a decent enough edge on my pocket and hunting knives. I would never have tried kitchen knives by hand. This product made it simple. The only negatives I have found so far are: 1. The V-block clamp didn't hold the most securely. As I worked the stones over the blade, I noticed that one side of the blade tended to wiggle out slightly. I don't know if it was the thin blades and their distal tapers, the clamps grip not being "sticky" enough, or the clamp itself doesn't put even enough pressure across the blade to hold. These were not large knives so only time will tell if this will become a bigger problem with my bigger stuff. 2. Stone grits. I think what comes in the box is great to start with. I would love to see Work Sharp release a number of higher grit stones beyond 800.
