CasioMen's B650WD-1ACF Classic Digital Display Quartz Silver Watch

This is a nice sturdy digital watch with the full stainless steel band. It is big and somewhat beefy and has a nice solid feel to it. The display is large and easy to read. I had a smaller plastic Casio back in middle school in the 80's and didn't know these were still available until recently and just had to try it. I haven't worn a watch in over 10 years since the time is always easily available on my phone, but I like the retro look of this and brings me back to my younger days. Very happy with this purchase.

I got this watch for my son for Christmas and it's been a few months now. I have to say, he absolutely adores it! He loves the retro look. I had a small women's version as a kid so this was great for me to give him. He wears it every day and it's a part of his entire ensemble. He loves the light and uses it quite often. The battery has lasted well and it has remained scratch free....quite a feat I must say with him as the owner. It's great looking in person and just the perfect touch! I know he's gotten it wet and it just keeps going. Great piece!

I absolutely love the A168W. It's a classic, looks timeless, has a a good color scheme on the dial, great spacing on the fonts in and around the dial, a good bit of color to keep it interesting. But.. it's just a little small for my 7" wrist. I'd been looking around to see if there's a bigger alternative to this icon. That's when I read about the B650 (38mm wide) - same overall silhouette as the A168W (34mm wide), but slightly bigger. I was thrilled. I finally found a wearable alternative. The only difference is it doesn't have an EL backlight.. it uses a little LED on the left of the screen. It also uses a horizontal single link bracelet, instead of the triple link one like the A168W. I barely use the backlight, so I was ok with that, and this bracelet also looked old school, so I was happy either way. The B650 also comes with a resin strap, but that model is called W217. You can't go wrong with any Casio watch.. they all look great. But I think the B650 is the best big size alternative to the A168W.

This is the largest of the "small" simple retro-styled Casio digital watches. After having tried theF-91W, the 168 and the 217, I finally broke down and bought this model, which fits my large-ish wrist better than the others. I like how it looks and how it wears on my wrist.All of these little watches are total value for the money. They come with the Casio look and quality that has made them a household name and a leader in the quartz watch market. I love them all.Sadly though, I received a used watch. It arrived without the signature plastic on the dial and the plastic bag over the watch. It's also missing the manual and Casio's warranty card. There are no blemishes or scuffs though, so I'm going to keep the watch and knock off one star for taking away my joy at opening a new watch.

Since I'm a bit long in the tooth (yes, I'm older) my eyes don't work as well with close up vision. The majority of these types of watches have displays too small for me to read them adequately. I can read them if I stare and concentrate but that's not how watches are supposed to be used. I need to see the information at a glance most of the time. As I researched all kinds of watches (digital only), I concentrated on the larger watches with the larger displays. I discovered that I could easily read the display but hated the large, bulky and sometimes garish housings. Then I discovered this little cutie :-) It's till embodies the slim and efficient design of the small display watch but with a slightly larger display, somewhere about half way between the other two options. As such, it is perfect for me. It's unobtrusive and functional. I wasn't crazy about the metallic snap band but compared to the plastic and velcro bands of my previous watches, it's great. The plastic bands dry out and simply break in about a year while the convenient cloth velcro bands soak up all your wrist sweat and smell like dirty socks after a couple weeks. Washing your watch strap every two weeks is an unwanted but necessary process in my mind.

Good digital watch, feels more hefty compared to the Casio F91W. It's affordable and doesn't feel cheap.
