Good quality roller cover, which doesn't leave fluff if washed beforehand as per instructions.This was my first time using a medium pile roller (I usually use short pile or foam rollers), so it was a bit of a learning curve but I got it eventually and I'm very satisfied with the result.Recommended.

Good quality roller for a decent price

I must admit, I’ve been a bit of a skin flint in the past when it came to buying paint rollers and none of them have come close to the quality of this one.At £3.97 it isn’t even a great expense and it’s certainly the best one I’ve used.I’m in the middle of a massive DIY project - for me!I’ve painted walls and woodwork before but now, I’ve learned to plaster my own walls and paint them myself. I’m halfway through the project so this roller comes at a good time as I’ve recently experienced several budget-ish rollers.Have to say, I love this and will definitely be getting a couple more.The pile on this is excellent. It holds a decent amount of paint and if I don’t roller too fast, it doesn’t fly off in every direction, even when using the mist coat. Usually, the watered down first coat on plaster goes everywhere. I’ve used it with trade emulsion and one of the big branded emulsions which are usually thicker and it’s been great. I won’t say I don’t get some splatters but not nearly as much as before.As a seasoned DIYer, I love this roller and at £3.97 it’s a bargain in my book. No more cheap multi packs for me.

From when you first unwrap this from the unfathomably large box Amazon probably packed it in for no logical reason, this roller oozes quality. It is the standard 44mm diameter (although be careful as there are 2 standard roller sizes in the UK, however this is the more common of the two sizes). It is the standard 9 inches (23cm) length.The pile on this roller is like a thick carpet with a dense pile and this really does hold the paint well and helps deploy a good even coverage on the wall or ceiling, with just a very subtle hint of a fine texture. After use the roller is easy to wash with cold water and then left on end to air dry (this is the method the instructions on the box recommends also).Although slightly more expensive than the budget roller parts section at your local well-known DIY chain store, at just under £4 this is definitely a premium quality roller for not much extra cash, and in my opinion is good value overall.
