Good knife
Very good and sharp. Solid construction and pretty good value for the deal I got on it. Feels great and easy to use. Solid weight and sturdy. Good knife.

This review was a mistake please delete
Fits nicely in the hand. My hands are medium large male hands. It is well made. I am not afraid of cutting myself when using it. Sharpenable with a ceramic rod (and I strop). I mainly use it to peel ginger. The ginger I get at my local grocery store more often than not needs to be peeled with a knife (not a spoon), but it is still good ginger, just a pain in the butt to peel with all the little knobs and such. *** 8/28 I actually am reviewing the wrong product here. I tried to delete this, but it is still here. I was reviewing a different bird's beak paring knife. I got this one and returned it beacause the handle was too small for meduim large man hands. Amazon please delete this review. Otherwise it is a nice knife, but I like a bit more of a tapered out finger guard in the design. If I used this I would cut myself.

Great addition to your knives
For those of you that have not yet tried this style of knife, give it a go! It’s excellent at skinning fruit, meat and cutting corn off the Cobb. You'll be pleased at the varied uses you find for it.

Very curved
The handle is really nice and heavy and the construction of the metal is nicer than any other knives we own; however, I cant find a rational use for the knife, due to the extreme curvature. I just don’t peel enough apples and citrus to justify this tool.

Excellent knife
My favorite knife! Very well made. I use it daily when cutting veggies, especially butternut squash and other vegetables in areas where the standard peeler cannot get to. Highly recommend for its superior quality.

Very curved, very sharp, very heavy
I own a set of competitor Hexaclad knives (Damascus Steel), but it didn’t come with a curved paring knife. - So I thought this would be the perfect knife to hit several objects with one purchase: try out the competitor and get a curved paring knife. Well, I’m still not sure if I like this knife or not; nor how much use I will get out of it: it came in a simple box with no instructions or comments other than hand wash and towel dry (not even why - especially as it is advertised as rust-resistant; I know Damascus steel is not rust resistant and can rust quickly, and every knife explains why … but here …?). - The first impression is it is not curved (like other paring knives I owned but VERY curved, oddly curved to say, which makes it different to use and I’m still getting used to it. Tried peeling potatoes and scraping carrots and wasn’t that successful. - Which leads to the second observation: it is very sharp and very pointed, and has a short leading edge for a 26 degree edge. - And lastly it is very heavy to hold, I can’t decide if I like this or not; it’s definitely very nice and solid but for paring I think I prefer a bit lighter grip to be able to carve and maneuver quickly and easier. So overall a big maybe. Would have liked a little more information about the knife and brand with the packaging and must stress how different it feels from other paring curved knives. 3 STARS -> (*RATE SCALE*: 5=perfect; 4=minor imperfections; 3=on fence; not sure if I’d buy again; 2= too many problems; 1= shouldn’t be sold or is dangerous).
