A great piece of technology. There are many cheaper versions of this type of product available, however given you are looking to make your life easier, i would highly recommend you opt of the skylight. The whole family has instantly made user of the calendar. We didn’t link any external calendars. Both wife and I use the skylight app on our phones (it’s brilliant). The calendar syncs instantly. The pictures you can upload onto the screen show up so beautifully, and it’s great to actually make use our digital library of memories. I analyze all tech thoroughly before I buy and compare all products in a category, and I could not recommend this more. I also mounted it to the wall and purchased a cheap wooden frame to put around it. It now looks like a real photo frame when in screensaver/picture mode. So simple to use. So clear. Not cluttered.

Cannot recommend this product enough. I originally was searching for a digital calendar because I never remembered to update our paper ones. I figured if I kept buying and not using paper calendars I might as well save that money and purchase this. I do not regret my decision! We have mounted it on the wall above the “drop zone” so everyone can see and use it as they get ready for the day. Favourite features: * the calendar - really easy to use, synchs with iPhone calendar so always up to date, colour coded for each person, variation in display options so easy to find a view that works for you. * task list - works great for kids and adults, helps create a feeling of working together to look after the home, great for my SEND child who needs reminders to do everyday tasks. * lists - we use the lists for groceries, to-do list and to meal plan. * we are not signed up to the monthly subscription and have had no issues without it. Definitely can see the appeal though. * update regularly with new features eg. Countdown function and “up for grabs” task list (tasks for anyone at any time, not assigned to an individual or a specific timing) The Skylight has been a life changer for our neurodiverse household. 5*

An expensive purchase, but worth it overall. I originally bought it, as I was due to renew the wall calendar, and fancied upgrading to something a bit more high tech. The idea / selling points above and beyond the calendar, was the ability to meal plan, create a shopping list and create chores / rewards for the kids to earn their pocket money. I set up the chores / rewards, and this worked a treat for the first couple of weeks, but the kids got bored of doing it, and moved on. We tried to keep it interesting, but we now no longer use this side of the device. The meal planning / prep etc felt harder work than not using it. We tend to now only use this for photos and the calendar. Since we have owned it, we have seen a lot of new feature get introduced / old features get upgrades, so this is always changing for the better. Definitely worth it for a busy household, so you can quickly see where everyone is over the next week / month at a glance.

Decided to get this to put in my Kitchen to allow me to sync all my calendars from different apps into one central calendar. You can use iCloud to share it publicly on the Skylight, and it interfaces with Google, Microsoft, you can also link via a Link (within your mobile phone app). The calendar can be set up for Single or Bidirectional updates, and will always display the date/time, but can also be set to show by week or month and using colours for each app calendar used. There is a subscription service which allows full access to Photo/Video Screensaver, Sidekick, Chore Rewards and Meal Planning. It arrived in a medium sized box which is heavy, but the weight is purely from the very strong metal wall mounting brackets and desktop stand, additionally the box contained all bolts, screws fixings, the Power Adaptor for the UK has slide on faceplates for the UK 3 pin plug and 2 other interchangable plug faceplates for other European Countries. The premium subscription for Photo/Video, Screensaver, Sidekick, Chore Rewards and Meal Planning can be paid monthly at the cost of £1.99. The UK model. does not show the weather but just the date and time, you can also configure it for sleep mode overnight, plus you auto-set the brightness depending on surrounding light source, audio alerts for appointments, font (text size) and other features. An app is availablle for both Android and Apple, you also get full access to a web site logon. The calendar is free which allows you to sync calendars from different apps and providers into one calendar which includes: Apple, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and Cozi. You can also submit requests for new features and enhancements via their site, you register on their site with your main email account, but then get a dedicated free calendar email account as part of that registration. The calendar email address can then be used by friends to invite you to events they create on their own calendars which would then turn up on your digital calendar. Still exploring all the features, but love it so far and its very useful!

I was so excited about this. As a single mum with ADHD this felt like the thing that was going to change everything in my house. The product description is not accurate. Note that you HAVE TO SUBSCRIBE to a monthly £7.99 subscription in order to get the rewards, meals and even just the photo screensaver function. That just seems like exploitation. It also doesn't warn you that it doesn't work with WiFi networks on 5gz networks, only the 2.5 ones which means I have to run it off hotspot. It didn't recognise the registration code...I had to let off and on again in order to get it to register. I'm going to give it a week, but the inability to sign rewards, on a product that matters itself on that ability without transparency has honestly infuriated me and I'm probably going to seek a refund. It's a very expensive calendar!!

I absolutely love my Skylight! The ability to upload and display family pictures so easily is just brilliant – it feels like having a constantly updated family album right at home. It keeps me feeling organised, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how many thoughtful features it has. One of my favourites is the reward system – such a clever addition for families with kids! It’s not something I would’ve thought about, but it makes such a difference in keeping little ones motivated and engaged. Overall, it’s simple to use, beautifully designed, and genuinely brings joy to our family every day. Highly recommend!

Absolute game changer in our household. The kids love the chores and rewards, the calendar is great and everyone checks it, also using the recipe and meal plan function and super helpful for adding stuff to shopping lists. It’s exceeded all my expectations!

Within 15 mins of plugging the Skylight and setting it up, the screen turned white, black borders (burning), with thin vertical black lines showing. I used the provided power adapter and cable. I even subscribed for the annual Plus plan. Not sure whether to repurchase or try a different product…. So disappointed…

Very good Bout extremely expensive

I originally bought a different digital calendar and ended up returning it because I wasn’t happy with it. This one checked every box I was looking for. The combination of a digital photo frame and family calendar is perfect. Instead of another screen on the counter, it actually adds something to the room while keeping everyone’s schedule front and center. The interface is what impressed me most. I didn’t have to hunt through menus or guess what button to press. Everything is laid out in a way that just makes sense. The AI feature has been a huge time saver. I can type or talk naturally and have it add appointments, reminders, or tasks without tapping through a bunch of screens. The chores, stars, and rewards system has been a great motivator for my toddler. It’s simple enough that they understand it, and earning stars has made everyday routines much easier. I also like that each family member can choose their own character. It’s a small feature, but it makes the calendar feel personalized and easy to glance at. If you’re looking for a family calendar that’s easy to learn, quick to update, and doesn’t feel overcomplicated, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I LOVE IT!!! It has made family life so much more organised. We have not had take away in 3 weeks due to the meal plan feature. All our appointments and events are easy to see and edit if needed, our work schedule, the kids activities. The fact I can have multiple To-Do lists all in the same location is amazing. And everything is all linked to both mine and my husbands phones. I think everyone's favourite feature is the photo screensaver that rotates through all the photos we've uploaded.. We love this product and definitely recommend if you want to be organised.
