Inaccurate
I really wanted to like this meat thermometer. I do like the silicone cover that makes it easy to hold onto without burning yourself. However, the important thing with a meat thermometer is accuracy, and this one was not. Thermometers are touchy, and sometimes even a bump can cause a problem with accuracy, so maybe something happened to the one I received before it got here, but it didn't read correctly. I have a good thermometer, and I checked this one against it when I suspected a problem. The arrow turns but according to this thermometer, everything is either ice cold or ready to catch fire. There's no in-between. I tried it with a couple of different meats and got the same result, so this isn't one I'd recommend.

Non digital and no batteries
Average ordinary meat thermometer. It does however show what the meat is cooked at for the temperature shown. It may be your ordinary meat thermometer but its still a classic and works great.

Easy to read meat thermometer
This works really well. My last thermometer rested somehow and so I need a new one. This keeps me from feeding my family uncooked meat so thanks!

Dishwasher killed it
I put this through the dishwasher and it killed it. Doesn't say anywhere not to clean it in the dishwasher. :-(
