It is indeed BROWN...not green.I'm using it daily overnight on my beard (the smell is STRONG and not what I want to smell like all day long) and washing it out in the morning shower.So far (approximately 1 week) I'm noticing my beard hair is indeed softer overall. The hope is that I'll see thicker beard hair that grows a little longer (Currently about 3 inches long) and less split ends.I plan to give it another 3 weeks of consistency.

Both my daughter & I are adjusted to the smell and love the results so we can easily prioritize our results over the less than fragrant odor. But the results!!!My daughter lost 40% of her hair a yr ago to severe scalp ezcema (+ a trip to St Martin’s beautiful yet salty water). We used other products with marginal success. I started using this product 2 months ago & I already see results. We use it twice weekly as a spot treatment along the crown & nape of her head, and deep condition with it twice monthly. Her locs are growing and more importantly, her edges and nape are recovering tremendously. We’re going to keep at it!! We like the texture (moist but not sticky), it leaves her locs moisturized but not weighed down. Her hair is drinking it up. Will repost after 2 more months.

Great product! Made my hair/scalp feel great. But the smell. You have to really wash and wash then wash again to get the smell out. It's not a pleasant smell that you could let slide. It's a smell you gotta get rid of.

It smell like old sweet cigarettes 🤣🤣🤣not a pleasant smell buuuut it’s all natural and it’s the way it was process so that being said I love the fact it is full to the brim, it’s rich and buttery smooth, moisture is there. This is pricey but if you look at how they process to obtain the oil, it’s a lot of work. So I trust that this is REAL BATANA OIL and not the cousin’s version to it that some people are selling that came from Africa or China.Just a slight update on the usage again hair takes some time to show real growth, but the second picture is how much I use in one week on scalp and ends, on the body everyday. Tiny bit goes a very long way, I have medium thick 4a/b hair and my scalp does be so dry not with this its no longer dry or itchy very moisturized. I use it on my body as well and my skin feels so smooth, I only use it on my body at nights, I order a second container.

This product took my hair out when I rinsed it out. I smelled perm and when I smelled my hair that came out it was my hair that smelled like perm. I do not nor have I ever had a perm in my hair. The part that I put it on some of it came out the other part of it is bone straight like I had a perm in my hair. My hair is all natural.Thankfully did not put this horrible product all over my hair. The ingredients list only one ingredient which is the product name it does not list that it has coffee in it it does not list that it has perm and chemicals in it however when you open the bottle it does smell like coffee. But when I put it on my hair and rinse it out that's when I smelled the perm.I called my stylist crying and she had to fix the problem and she saw for herself where my hair came out and wear the other part of it was straight and not curly when my hair is naturally curly.If you want to use this product it's best to go to a store and not get it off of Amazon from this company obviously like I did.Notice the bad reviews are more recent than the 5 star reviews and they placed our bad reviews down at the bottom mixed in with the other. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! I am still waiting on my refund!!!!

Very good productI have used it just few times but I see improvement on my hairI think it’s worth to try it but maybe different results for different hair problems

I just got this and use it for the first time last night. It melts in your fingers and it's easy to apply to the scalp. It say it smell like coffee. Nope it smelled like burnt dark roasted coffee beans over a campfire that I was purposely sitting in front of the smoke for hours. Beside the campfire smoke smell my scalp feels very good. Some say they leave it on all day but I can't stand smell so I just leave it on for 30 mins and wash it off. Will come back to make another review after I'm done using it or I have thicker hair. We'll see. Okay byyyeeee

I’m giving this product a five star because this is 100% Batana oil. It has all the characteristics known of batana… it doesn’t need much heat to get it to melt, the color is accurate to being only brown and it does have a smoky coffee scent (which doesn’t bother me at all). There were also no air pockets in my jar so I know I definitely got the full volume amount that was paid for. I was looking online for reviews to see which brands were selling the real deal and which one was fake but this is definitely for real and I hope this helps the next person.
