I have had the rechargeable quick release battery in the outdoor stick up cam for several months, and it has performed quite well. I have it connected to a solar charger, which keeps the level consistently above 80% as long as the panel isn't covered by snow. Even then, it recharges quickly once the snow is removed. It is important to note that this battery is NOT compatible withe the Ring Doorbell 2nd Generation, which is not the same as the Ring Doorbell 2. I bought this replacement battery for that device, only to learn that the product description for the 2nd Gen doorbell is very misleading. Since I have the stick up cam which does use this quick release battery, I don't need to return it and will keep it as a backup.

Works great. Makes replacing discharged batteries easy. Very pleased with the design. Easy to insert and seems durable.

These Ring camera batteries last about 3 years, in my experience. Easily rechargeable, takes about 8 hrs. Very simple to use. Wished they lasted a bit longer, but reasonably priced for the brand name.

purchased 2 quick releases to have adequate backup for spotlight cam plus using ring 1st gen solar for power consistent excellent performance during live view and battery recharging was excellent during recent ice storm, followed by long cold spell, outdoor temps dropped to single digits (F) for 72hrs+ camera and battery again performed well throughout HOWEVER day+1 after outdoor temp recovery, battery drained from 100% to 7% in 18hrs (overcast day) BUT day+2 in full sun, slow recharging resumed to 27% after 4hrs of direct sun day+3 @ 52% will keep monitoring recharging progress ordered additional backup as standby net net, consider the optimal performance temp ranges below and be prepared for cold

This Ring camera was a gift from our daughters, and it has quickly become one of the most thoughtful and useful gifts we’ve ever received. We’ve only been using it for about a month, but even in that short time it already gives us a real sense of added security and peace of mind. Installation and setup were surprisingly easy — very straightforward, even for someone who isn’t especially tech-savvy. One important note on batteries: depending on placement and activity level, battery life can vary quite a bit. Our front-of-the-house camera, even set on the lowest motion range, went through a single battery in about two weeks. I would highly recommend purchasing extra batteries. We’ve now installed two batteries and are hoping that will significantly extend the time between charges. Overall, this has been an excellent experience so far. It’s one of those products where, once you have it, you honestly can’t remember what life was like before it. An incredibly practical and thoughtful gift from our children — and one we appreciate every single day.
