This is a great holder. It holds my iPhone Pro Max easily. Very secure. It grips the vent tightly and there’s very little wiggling. Easy to assemble. I recommend this phone holder.

I had one similar, but it was so flimsy. This one is solid. It really sticks to the back of my air vent slot and it is easy to operate can be moved around to however, I want to position my phone I don’t have to worry about it falling off, and it does not interfere with the air coming through the back of the vent good deal happy with my purchase

It took me only a few minutes to figure out how this device works...it's really easy to use and install...and it even came with a bonus piece that holds your charging cord. It clips right onto the air vent and you turn the circle attachment on the back to lock it into place. You can even adjust up or down so it's not blocking your view.I received this for Christmas and so far it's held my phone well.

I liked the metal grip that holds it to the vane.Strong but limited by the movement of the vane itself. Every thing tightens really well.

My old phone holder (6 years) finally gave up its last holding ability. Bought this one to replace it and realized that, unlike my old holder, this one can be easily mounted on the small vertical vent find of my husband’s Subaru Outback. Ordered one for him and a third, as a present for a friend.

The mount is heavy for ac vent so it won’t stay straight up. Every time I place the phone it drops down.

This is an excellent phone holder. You clip it onto your vent in your chosen position by winding out the little metal hook and once in position wind it back in until it is tight against the vent. This phone holder allows the vent to be secured in the open position as it also engages with the vent on the outer edge, a nice touch. Once the hub is secure, you can adjust the angle of the phone plate so the phone will be facing you and then tighten that into place. Then you press the release button on the back and the side arms extend out and then you place your phone in positon and squeeze the arms to grip the sides and hold the phone in place. The side arms are on a ratchet so only release once you press the button on the back again. The side and bottom arms are slightly curved and have a softer material to grip the phone to hold it firmly in place and there is a gap left in the middle to insert a charger cable.The phone holder has a pleasing grey leather effect pad where the phone goes, when not in use.It is extremely solid and looks well made and finished and I think it is very well designed.I have tried an Iphone and Samsung ultra phone, the ultra being fairly heavy. Both are held rock solid and the holder would appear to hold a somewhat larger phone or probably even the largest heaviest phone one could reasonably imagine.The only real downsides are that the vent is fixed in position and the phone is infront of the vent. That said, the phone is not tight to the vent, so air can comfortably pass through, although it would warm or cool the phone depending on your temperature setting.I have not tried to go over very rough roads but I tend to the view the phone would stay in place irrespective.No hesitation in recommending this.

I've been trying various phones cradles, the suction cup type that stick on the windscreen or dash. These I have found tend to fall of after a while, and because of their placement can block the view from the windscreen. I also have tried the cup holder, which seem like a more secure cradle, however I have found that the cup holder need to be in front of the gear leaver. When fitting a air vent cradle I was worried about putting my phone in front of the air vent, but on most cars you can turn the vent off. I was pleased at how secure this phones hold is, it fits my phone which has a 6.7 inches screen. When fitting the cradle there is ratchet to stop you over tighting it to the car air vent. Fitting and removing the phone is straight forward, simply squeeze the side support to fit the phone, and you can press a button on the back to remove it. The overall construction is good, and seems very robust. Overall I would recommend this to friends and family.

HTU Car Vent Phone Mount with Sturdy Hook Clip & 360°Rotatable.In choosing a car mobile phone holder there are two points to be considered;1. To be able to grip the mobile phone securely;2. To be able to attach the phone holder securely in a place where it can be viewed easily.1. The two methods for holding a phone with the present day car phone holders, are;(a) a MagSafe holder. This requires a phone case which is amenable to a magnetic grip. This usually requires sticking a thin steel plate on the back of the phone or the phone holder. Not everyone wants to stick a steel plate on the back of their phone or phone holder.(b) a cradle. It is this which the HTU car vent mount utilises, which can open wide enough to grip all the present day mobile/cell phones. The grip by the jaws of the cradle holds the phone securely not only vertically but also horizontally.2. There are also two main methods for attaching the phone holder to the car;(a) a suction, or sticky pad foot, either on the dashboard or on the windscreen. The latter is not advisable as it can obscure the full view of the windscreen. My wife’s car is a Vauxhall Corsa, The design of the car is such that the dashboard and surrounds entirely consist of curved surfaces. This prevents the use of a suction or sticky pad foot.(b) an air vent holder, which is utilised by the car phone holder under review. A flat metal hook attaches itself to one of the air vent horizontal louvers, and a screw mechanism is rotated and pulls the hook tight ensuring that the phone holder is secure in position.The HTU air vent car phone holder achieves all that is required, in other words the phone holder is secure, and the phone is secure, a five star product, and recommended, not only by myself but by my wife who has at last has a car phone holder following the failure of a sticky pad mount.There is one caveat that not all car air vents are suitable onto which amount a phone holder.

I've used several phone mounts over the years and this one has impressed me. It's definitely up in the top 5 i've ever had (probably had 30 plus!). I have a few magnetic phone mounts and they're great, but they lack proper stability over bumps and often I find the phone goes flying at the least convenient time. This one is a good old fashioned grip mount, with a convenient one touch release mechanism for removing your phone. It holds rock steady and the attachment mechanism to the vents is very well thought out. I like that you can twist a knob to increase the grip / tension in the gripper arm, to really get that solid attachment (without damaging the vents!). It does stick out quite a way from the vents which i'm not usually a fan of, however it does bring the phone closer to me and I find that i'm not stretching forward as much to release my phone from the mount.
