The remote itself is quite nice but beware that the included battery may be too flat to transmit (it might light up on the remote, but not actually transmit a signal!).If you have one and can't work out why it isn't paring with your lightwaverf devices, check the battery.Quick easy check... Press a button on the remote quickly, if the blue light on the remote comes on then goes off immediately then it might be flat (or nearly flat!). The blue light *should* come on for a second or so, the mood button should cause it to light up for 2 seconds or so.I had this problem, so decided to swap the battery out for one from my car keyfob and hey presto, it all works great now!They really should have put some plastic in to isolate the battery!!The only other bad thing I've found so far - the packaging, pita to open and could have made the devices at least a couple of quid cheaper without the fancy packaging.

Not necessarily essential to use the LightwaveRF accessories (unless they are mounted inaccessibly) but a useful companion. Easy enough to set up and so far has retained its memory reliably. Slightly illogical layout in that "on" comes after "off" if you are a right-to-left kind of person (and as these things are used in the dark, arguably that matters).

It works well with the lightwaverf switches. Easy to set up. Easy to use.
