Used for sea fishing.
Only used it once but with positive results, does eat AAA batteries so I have gone for rechargeable, can cast it about 40 meters with my set-up, shows individual fish and shoals.

Item not as described. Refund was not prompt
The item I received was not as described. it claims to have wireless range 70-90 meters in calm condition. But it failed to work when the transducer was just 5 meters away on a still water. The refund was not prompt: I have to file an Amazon A-to-Z Guarantee Claim to get the refund.

know your swim
I dont really trust it to find fish as it does confuse them with weed beds quite a lot but for finding depth and features It's top notch for the money.

Fantastic piece of kit.
I have just purchased, and used this fish finder. It is excellent. I did have a problem with water getting into the sensor, and although the firm replaced it, I then found out that I had not properly secured the screw cap to the battery apartment in the sensor, and there was no leak at all. Embarrassing!!!The sensor is bright yellow and looks like a child's toy boat for the bath. The receiver is about the size of a small transistor radio. The operations are simple and the screen clear and easy to read. The display shows the depth to the bottom, the shape of the bottom, the surface temperature of the water and the presence of any fish and their depth. There are 2 holes at the bottom of the sensor for the fixing of your line, and for an "Anchor" line if required. The large screw cap on the top allows replacement of the 2032 3v battery. I would suggest buying the pack of 12 for about £2.65 from Amazon. The receiver takes 4 AAA batteries. If I have one complaint, it is that it does tend to "eat" batteries, so I suggest buying a set of rechargable AAA batteries and keep them in you fishing box.I would also suggest that, to ensure that there is no ingress of water into the sensor housing, you smear the "O" ring on the cap with Vaseline or silicone grease and wrap PTFE tape around the thread, just to be on the safe side!!The sensor is easy to cast; weighing about the same as a fully charged cage feeder. I use a spare rod with 17lb line; just to make sure I do not break the line on a cast. You could even tie your normal weight line to the second hole, and put a hook on it. That way you would know that your bait is definitely over the target. One thing that the device cannot do, is to entice fish to take the bait. With this fish finder you can drop the bait on their nose, but if they ain't biting, then they ain't biting!!!All in all, an excellent piece of kit for the tackle box, and at a very reasonable price.
